  1. There are still over 100 balconies available. Money they lost
  2. Link to article Spirit Airlines, Frontier to merge in $2.9 billion deal (msn.com)
  3. With over 100 balconies available, why not wait and see until 2-3 days before the cruise to make a decision? By then they have a final count. They lost out on upgrade money from me. Maybe I'm being to logical
  4. So I have an inside cabin with virtual balcony now and did the RoyalUp to balcony (minimum amount) it got declined even though I counted well over 100 balconies available to purchase now with less than 30 days to go. Makes no sense to me. I'm happy with with virtual balcony and confused why Royal would decline the balcony with so many free balcony cabins available
  5. Look at the size of the people in the picture. That ball is about 100 feet round
  6. Your points only apply to what your original booking was. If you RoyalUp to a suite, you would not get additional points
  7. The new Galveston terminal is scheduled to be completed in fall 2022 so it seems there will be shuffling of ships around as they come back to the U.S. in fall 2022. It's nice to see different ships at different ports. I live in Tampa and was happy to see Serenade take the place of Rhapsody
  8. Transatlantic in October 2022 ends at Port Canaveral. No bookings available past November but it seems like Port Canaveral will be it's home port for winter 2022-2023
  9. This is on Royal's website. Check tomorrow since that is when bookings open up The action-packed ship will deliver multiple ways to adventure with 7-night sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, visiting tropical destinations like Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; San Juan, Puerto Rico, and more. No matter the itinerary guests choose, every sailing will visit Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, for a day of thrill and chill unlike any other. May will see an early start to summer family vacations when the wondrous Oasis Class ship heads for the Mediterranean to take center stage for its inaugural European season. From Barcelona and Rome on 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises, travelers have memorable vacations in store as they sail to the sparkling shores of Europe’s most iconic and historic destinations, such as Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Capri, Italy. Wonder’s Caribbean itineraries are available to book today on Royal Caribbean’s website. The new ship’s European sailings will open on Wednesday, Sept. 22

  11. I didn't know you could check status but now I do. It still says PENDING Thank you
  12. Amtrak is $49 per person. You would have to Uber/Lyft to and from Amtrak stations
  13. This is my first time using RoyalUp. About 2 weeks ago, I put a bid in for an upgraded cabin. Today I received my cruise documents today with my original cabin number that I picked. Does this mean I didn't get upgraded or is there still a chance I could get the upgraded cabin. I have no email saying I was declined for the bid
  14. I booked a cruise in September and just trying to be prepared. I have never cruised during hurricane season. Would Royal do free laundry if you are stuck at sea for a day or 2 until it can get back to port? Or should I pack extra clothes just in case something happens?
  15. So if the cruise lines asked for vaccine status during check-in process online they wouldn't be violating any Florida laws as long as they don't ask people who live in Florida? But can they say "If you live in Florida you may voluntarily give us your vaccine status if you like, it's not a requirement to sail" I'm sure the lawyers are going through everything they can right now. But then again, by the time July comes around, the CDC will change 50 things by then
  16. The judge originally said he wanted an answer by June 1 unless that date has changed. If mediation doesn't work, the judge can make a decision. I'm not a lawyer and don't think a judge can change state law but a maritime layer came out and said Florida is violating the Commerce Clause which gives Congress primary authority to regulate interstate and international commerce and limits a state's ability to interfere in such activity
  17. Scroll to the 21 minute mark of the video and play to the end. https://twitter.com/GovRonDeSantis/status/1389657860708179968?s=20 I'm pretty sure there will be more cancelled cruises, test cruises and 2 Covid tests to sail from Florida
  18. As Royal Caribbean continues to navigate an environment that is ever-changing, our commitment to each of you, our valued travel partners, is one area where transparency and support prevail. For this reason, we are reaching out today to ensure you are among the first to learn of a new development. Our newest ship, Odyssey of the Seas, will now sail from Haifa, Israel beginning May 2021, offering a combination of 3-to-7-night escapes visiting the Greek Isles and Cyprus. Residents of Israel will be the first to experience this Quantum Ultra Class newcomer during an inaugural season that offers a variety of new and signature onboard experiences. Highlights onboard include a two-level pool deck designed for downtime under the sun and stars, SeaPlex - the two-level indoor and outdoor activity complex that is a high-adrenaline playground for all ages, and a lineup of complimentary and specialty restaurants primed to please every palate with cuisine from around the world. Itinerary details for these new sailings will be available in the coming days, at which time Israeli residents can begin making reservations. “We are thrilled to debut Royal Caribbean cruises from Israel with our newest and most innovative ship, Odyssey of the Seas. Israeli travelers will be looking to get away, relax with total peace of mind, and enjoy the travel experiences they are missing dearly; and that is what we do best,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “Sailing from Israel is an opportunity we have had our sights on for quite some time. We greatly appreciate the government of Israel for their collaboration and confidence in us to deliver memorable cruise experiences to their residents, and look forward to delivering on that promise aboard our newest ship – the first ‘Green Island’ at sea.” Additionally, in conjunction with Israel’s health and tourism authorities, these will be the first fully-vaccinated sailings, where both crew and guests above the age of 16 will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to boarding. Details on the additional health and safety measures to be implemented by Israel and Royal Caribbean will be announced at a later date. As you can imagine, it's never an easy decision when our guests’ vacation plans are disrupted. Much thought and planning went into moving Odyssey’s debut to Israel, resulting in the cancellation of a planned Europe season. Guests currently confirmed on an impacted European cruise departing May 9 — October 28, 2021 will have the option to request a refund of the funds paid or leverage Lift & Shift to move to any 2022 sailing of their choice; otherwise, a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be automatically administered. Plus, knowing that your clients were eagerly awaiting Odyssey’s inaugural season, a special $100 Onboard Credit per stateroom will be issued to those guests selecting a Future Cruise Credit or the Lift & Shift option. All affected guests and associated travel partners will soon receive an email notification to outline the compensation options in greater detail. Your partnership means the world to us and, little by little, we are making strides toward crafting vacation memories on the high seas once again! Stay safe!
  19. This is for all cruise lines, not just Royal Caribbean Port Canaveral to become first U.S. port to offer cleaner fuel for cruise ships | WFLA
  20. I didn't get into a long conversation with my contact but he said no ships will be sailing from Tampa until around May but that date could change. They are working on a plan to re-open Tampa but it's going to take a while. It's not just Royal but it's all cruise lines sailing from Tampa
  21. I know someone who is pretty high up in management who works for the port of Tampa. He said all cruises from Tampa will not start until 2nd quarter of 2021. There is nothing on Royal's website about it but I expect them to say something soon about it.
