  1. Unfortunately, this looks more for hospital staff, I'm more in the voluntary health area side of things. But thanks for flagging and I'm sure there are others that will find this of use (and well deserved).
  2. I'm on the Anthem next August, but I think your date above is 8th July?
  3. I'll be booking once I can see the dates... looks like I'm looking for b2b 7 nighters ... so we'll be going round the Isles twice ?... @Matt can you lift and shift the entire group cruise to next year?
  4. So anyone with a Blue Light Card can apply for the draw for one of the 999 free staterooms, this includes St John's Ambulance....exciting
  5. Just rung Royal and they were next to useless...they only know what the Royal higher ups have told us ... although I seemed to know more than them. Apart from the operator sounding still asleep, they couldn't advise on anything (expediting FCC, new sail dates, the ability to transfer sailings to the new ones like Viking cruisers were able to do). They didn't even know that Anthem was sailing out of Southampton with new itineraries... Royal really need to IMPROVE ... they've had over a year to get better with FCC and haven't, they need to have got there ducks in a row before "re-debuting" the Anthem... They said it was a "difficult" decision to make ... blah blah blah ... so difficult they took all of 2 seconds to make and work the rest out as we go....Poor, very poor
  6. How long was it after announcement of Adventure OTS to booking opening up, before the cruise dates came out? I know prices weren't available until booking opened up.
  7. Wonder if St John's Ambulance volunteers will be included in those free staterooms...we are included as part of the Blue Light Card (discount card) which Royal is one of those discounts...?
  8. As of 8am (GMT) Royal have cancelled Anthem of the Seas itineraries and will "re-debut" uk itineraries. BIG PROBLEM - they haven't specified which sailings are impacted, on the email!!!! I'm presuming both my June and July sailings are gone bit I would have expected more than one email? Normally when they send itinerary update emails I get one per passenger as well....so far just one email!
  9. I will. Thinking it is not going to be long before I get a chance...
  10. Hi All, apologies I couldn't find a previous topic that I could ask this in... I have a couple of FCC for cancelled solo (suite) cruises - so all FCC in my name... I think it is likely that my summer cruise with myself and the kids will get cancelled (normal stateroom)... As you'll all be aware it takes soooo long for FCC to be issued, I'm not sure there will be enough time to get FCC from a cancelled summer cruise to then use to book a new 2021 summer cruise. Although I'm fairly confident that there will be sailings this summer, from the UK, I will need FCC to book a new sailing this summer...Royals already taken all my available cash. Question - will Royal allow me to use the FCCs in my name to apply to a sailing with me and both kids?
  11. All the cruises going around the British Isles is cruising only...no ship will be allowed to dock in ports other than embarkation port (but this could change in the future)
  12. I have a June cruise for just me and I'm just wanting to swapmy home office and not have to cook etc.... The July cruise with the kids is all about the mega ship, not really going to miss any port stops... So, my issue is being able to actually have a valid booking that will sail... need to be able to "lift & shift" to new ship or new itinerary... can't make a brand new booking with fresh cash, need FCC from May cruises to come through. I also need for them to be more flexible about whose name the FCC is in (as I paying for all and it's my bloomin' money!) and who I can apply the FCC to on a booking.... The UK could be the 1st place they "cancel2change" itineraries all within the same homeport - hope they recognise the difference here and offer more flexible (loyalty based) options...
  13. I'm on tender hooks ... I'm expecting RCI to cancel Anthem and launch new itineraries (poss on harmony)...my issue with RCI is how long they are still taking on FCC, which I can see being a real big problem in the UK. I have almost £15000 (approx $21k) paid out to RCI at the moment on cruises for this year and next year (mainly on 2021 paid cruises). Like a lot of other Brits I'm going to need the FCC or refund from cancelled 2021 sailings in order to rebook on new itineraries (and really want a break)... I can see RCI massively mis-managing this one and lots of upset customers...
  14. How long ago did you make final payment? I sometimes notice it takes a day or 2 for the checking button to appear online...or on the app
  15. There's chat on Harmony in a European based thread....
  16. Loving double poits, suites to treat my single travelling self
  17. Do you guys in the US not have an equivalent to Trading Standards? If they publish something, they have to honour it (mistake or not), otherwise it's false advertising...
  18. I've been able to check in for my June 4th sailing on Anthem...paying my July 24th cruise soon and will let you know if I can checking for that one
  19. You could become @Matt's European blogging intern...then all cruising would become "work related" travel ?
  20. I can just see the scenario whereby these summer cruises have been booked out with people moving holidays from last summer. I can remember thinking at the time that i moved my cruise a year forward, that last years cruise could still have run...it never crossed my mind that we'd be in the situation of questioning whether or not this years would run... At some point RCI will decide to run existing sailings, and I reckon they will have a higher occupancy than their health protocols would allow for...who gets to cruise and who gets cancelled...wonder whether they'll try to avoid this or attempt it...
