Since you are sailing in Jan 2022 keep an eye out for Black Friday deals... my son and I did the water park for $25pp from a black Friday deal for our Jan 2020 trip. At that price we'll worth it... just be forewarned, the water is not heated!

The gratuity is not included in the fare. You have the option to prepay (which locks in the daily per person per day rate) or pay at the end of your cruise. Gratuity is also added to drink purchases automatically I believe. It is also customary to put "something extra" in a tip envelope when you leave.

I've actually embraced the "one person over 21 per cabin rule". We always book two rooms for our family... my wife and son (16) listed for one room and me and my other son (12) in the other room. That way you now can bring more bottles of wine on board since each room has one adult. We don't even bother with connecting rooms... we book adjoining balcony rooms and just open up the balconies to make them connected to save money.

Havent sailed on this ship but our balcony door had a privacy lock at the top of the door. Maybe this ship has that feature too.
