  1. Under the current protocol, yes. And from what I understand you are not required to show proof of vaccination, either, it just a yes or no box you mark during check-in (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
  2. This is great. Now I have a valid reason to give my wife when I go for the up-charge.
  3. There is no mention of Canada in the updated protocols on the website so they seem to be in the clear.
  4. So you know how on Yelp it indicates how expensive a restaurant is - like $$ out of 5 or whatever. Same concept here. Theres certainly a spectrum of cruise lines and they all have a price point. Saying that RC falls at X location on that spectrum is a statement of fact. It seems to me everyone is mostly saying the same thing - some are just misinterpreting or choosing to read others comments through a certain lens. Still interested to hear what sort of compensation or explanation they offered you.
  5. I've seen some places that Drink of the Day just 20% off of its regular price. So the price could depend on what the drink was and what ship you're on if they're still doing dynamic pricing.
  6. Good way to think of it! Technically you can order premium food selections in the MDR, so I suppose that would be a way where auto-gratuity would apply.
  7. Unfortunately right now any of the fine print on the app or in the Cruise Planner is 50-50 whether it is accurate or not since we have been through so many policy changes the past few years.
  8. I see both sides. It’s possible that this was a planned repair, but I could totally see it was a last minute thing that was handed down from the top. Either way, I think things definitely could have been improved if they were more up front about it from the beginning and provided alternatives. Like I’ve been on ships where the running water went down for a few hours but they constantly updated us and gave everyone access to bottled water free of charge. Luckily it was restored within a few hours and everyone’s dinner time was bumped back an hour or so. Not being able to access an entire portion of the ship for the entirety of the cruise is probably less severe than no running water but probably more so than something like a show being cancelled. I think it is okay to be frustrated by it, but it’s not an indictment of the entire industry or the company. My advice is realize the situation is out of your control, try to enjoy the trip as much as possible, and if you think it is necessary try to seek appropriate compensation.
  9. Saw a report on a FB group that someone was able to pre-book shows for a cruise on Wonder in December through the Cruise Planner. Anyone else able to do this?
  10. I appreciate everyone’s feedback Our excursion is scheduled to conclude at 5:00pm and dinner is at 5:30pm. With our group I don’t envision us making it within the 15-minute late arrival window. The ship leaves port at 8:00pm this particular day, so I’m anticipating there will be a decent number of people not utilizing the MDR that normally would. I think I will just stop by the MDR the morning we board and speak with the host to see what they think is possible. I could call now but not sure how helpful that would be. Thanks again.
  11. Testing guidelines are here - https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/faq/questions/will-i-have-to-take-a-test-before-i-cruise?country=GBR Test administered at home without supervision are accepted; so yes, it’s exactly what you’re imagining
  12. Your best bet is to bring a portable charger if you’re looking to charge a device outside of your room.
  13. I believe it is on Hallmark Movies Now, which you can get a free trial of before being charged - https://www.hmnow.com/
  14. My family prefers Early Dining and on our next sailing we have booked an excursion that overlaps with our regular dining time. Normally in this situation we would eat at a speciality restaurant that night, but my all-time favorite RC food is being served in the MDR that night. I know it is an inconvenience for the dining staff to show up at a different time than you are scheduled in the MDR - is there any way you can think of to not inconvenience them? Ideally I could switch to MyTime for just one night and make a reservation but I don’t believe they will allow that.
  15. I plan my entire cruise around the Asian Pork Tacos. Absolutely no chance I am ever missing those when they are in the MDR.
  16. If you take your own bags off the ship and leave with the earliest departure group I would think you could make it as early as 11:00 if you can avoid traffic.
  17. As far as I can tell ESPN Caribbean does not have broadcast rights for the WC, which would be the only way the ship could be shown on the ship. In my experience I have been able to use a streaming service like YouTube TV to watch live TV through the ship's WiFi. The only issues I have run into is if I happen to be in a country where the broadcast is blacked out.
  18. Yep - all of my future cruises are currently MIA complete from the website EDIT: We're back! Halloween trick, I'm thinking
  19. I somehow managed to overlook this in all of the coverage this past week but I caught tonight in the Icon 360 video that RC live streamed that one of the Lime & Coconut bars on Icon will be specifically for frozen drinks with frozen concoctions on tap. Is this as much of a game changer for anyone else? I already couldn't wait but now I'm really besides myself. Frozen drink bars on land are among my wife and I's absolute favorites. Will be interesting to see what they have on offer and how many options there will be.
  20. This will be the 4th RC cruise for my wife and I. However! It will be a first for us in many regards: First time on Wonder! First time cruising with our daughter (will be 2 years old by July) First time cruising with a large group (also traveling with my parents, my brother and his fiancé. We have three adjacent ocean balconies, so it should be a good time! Looking forward to anticipating the cruise with you all.
  21. Matt - just wanted to say thanks for all of your hard work to make RCB a reality! You are the #1 resource to keep me from going crazy when not on a cruise. Long live RCB; cheers!
  22. In Matt's video to he specifically said it won't just be a set of stairs and that more information will be released later.
