  1. That's what I thought as well, then I read this on the website. If I was already issued my 125% Onboard Credit and I choose to take the cruise refund instead of the 125% Future Cruise Credit at a later date, do I get to keep my Onboard Credit? Once you request a refund of your cruise fare, regardless of whether it's before or after the Cruise Planner opt-in period, you are no longer eligible for the 125% Onboard Credit. A refund will be processed for both your cruise fare paid and any amount paid for Cruise Planner purchases.
  2. Wow, I don't really understand why but they should have their reasons. Even though this blog is my #1 source of information, I decided to do a little research and found something that works beautifully with my plan. "If your sailing was cancelled as part of our COVID-19 operations suspension, you will receive one Future Cruise Credit combining the two amounts: 100% of your original Future Cruise Credit amount and 125% of any additional cruise fare funds paid on the reservation." Luckily to me the FCC is not applied to the next booking yet and since I will be receiving just 1 FCC for the full amount I will be able to request both the 125% FCC and OBC. Yayyy. Now I just have to hope for the best for my January sailing. With all the pain in my heart I gave up on booking 2020 sailings.
  3. Hi, does anybody knows if I can opt for the refund of the cruise fare and the 125% OBC for the cruise planner purchases? I already have a FCC applied to my next sailing so won't be able to apply another one, reason why I'm opting for the refund but I want the 125% for the CP purchases. I dont really see the problem with it, but not sure. Does anyone have experience with it?
  4. I still have a little hope for my Sept 19th cruise on Symphony, but I figure if I know there's a possibility that my heart will be broken I better have the remedy on hand. So I was wondering if anyone have experience doing Lift and shift with a GTY cabin that is already assigned, it is my understanding that a GTY cabin can change up to sailing date, but just wanted to know your inputs on the matter. Do you believe it is possible to get my assigned cabin on the new cruise instead of a GTY? I really appreciate your opinion.

  6. Hi, I would like to know if I have a cruise booked and only paid the deposit, am I eligible to Lift&shift and/or FCC? Im thinking of cancelling an upcoming cruise to book another one,the dates of the one I have booked don't work for us anymore, but I'm not sure if the FCC is an option with just the deposit paid. It is a non refundable deposit.
  7. Do you guys think Royal will sail before October 1st? Carnival and NCL cancelled through September 30th. I don't understand why they didn't cancel up to the 30th, I am on Symphony 9/19/2020 and I don't want to get excited by thinking it could happen. Just trying to figure out if they are really planning to sail before Carnival and NCL or if they are just delaying the cancellations for the remainder of September.
  8. Exactly! I was trying to decide if we should try Izumi Hibachi or not, but now we will definitely do! What better excuse than having that $10 surcharge practically paid for itself with this price drop? \0/
  9. My Symphony cruise has 3 sea days and I feel the UDP is totally worth it. I bought it at $189 and cancelled to get it at $179, while it doesn't feel like huge savings individually, it definitely is for a family! I really hope it happens, first time on Symphony and I'm already making the lunch/dinner plans with so many specialty restaurants.
  10. What are your experiences after applying your Cruise Planner credit? How long does it takes to appear on your Cruise Planner? I'm waiting for mine to show up and would like to have an estimated. Thanks for your help.
  11. Kind of out of topic but I was wondering if you can still use the beverage packages at Labadee? All beverage packages say "Enjoy at Perfect Day at Cococay" but nothing about Labadee, not even in the description.
  12. Hi, I understand that FCC were extended up to April 2022, but I was wondering if this applies to the 125% OBC as well? Btw I should be getting ready for the aqua theater show rn:(
  13. Hi @sabarwolf, I have tried before with travel agents here for different trips(not Royal Caribbean cruises) and it was an okay experience, but their prices just don't match what I see online and they don't explain the reason why.. plus I don't feel they are committed to get the best deals for me. It is sad because I love to travel and I'm sure I'll love Royal but TA here are dedicated to Pullmantur cruises.
  14. Thanks so much @SpeedNoodles @Matt I contacted MEI Travel and I'm currently waiting for an answer, I don't know why on earth I was under the impression that I could do this myself.
  15. Good morning everybody, This is my first post here, but I've been reading this blog since I realized cruising with Royal Caribbean was a possibility in my life. My first Royal Caribbean cruise will be a 3 night on-board Navigator of the Seas, I'm super excited. I know that within the United States and Canada(i believe), there's the possibility of repricing your cruise if you find a better rate.. but I'm from a small beautiful country in Central America called Panama and I don't know if that will be an option for me. I did tried to book the cruise through a Travel Agent but I didn't receive an answer so I booked it myself through the web page because it seemed like and awesome deal that is now becoming an even better deal, basically I have 2 questions: 1) If there's a list or something with the information of which countries are able to reprice. 2) If someone knows about a Travel Agent that works with Non US Residents. Thanks so much in advance guys. Thanks to this blog I know I will have a new addiction to cruising, that's why I want to save every penny I can so I can book more cruises and it also hurts a little watching those prices drop and not being able to do anything about it.
