Voyagering Across the Med - Voyager OTS 8.12.24-8.19.24

I have unfortunately had the luggage thing even happen in the US. But they are allowed to be a little bit ruder about it in Europe . However, you are onboard and starting to enjoy your cruise........but that is odd about the top-shelf Long Island -
A WONDERful Dad and Son trip….8/11/24-8/18/24

Yay for early boarding, have all the fun . I don't know if you gamble but Wonder has Little Shop of Horrors as a game. I love the movie and the game is a good one to play because there are lots of bonus features. -
As stated food is subjective. I know people who love all the MDR menus and some people who would rather eat at Chop's 7n in a row than to step into the MDR. The food is Mediterranean based but I honestly think they do a rather bland interpretation of it. Very limited selection as well. But I don't necessarily think of it as a wasted opportunity, more so for a niche group.

Happy Cruise Day -
You are right. There are a host of reason why a person might not know. And I get that, and maybe that is the case. I guess I still find it odd. But also this is one of the best place to get answers.

My grandmother loves her some crackers barrel. Where else can you get country fried steak and puzzle books. -

The Vatican and Vatican city are breathtaking, I mean in the grand scheme of things so is the coliseum. You will love the Pantheon. Also y'all are brave for doing things in this heat. -
Allure has one if the most beautiful CL. I'm pretty sad it's more than likely going to the dungeon afterthe amp. But as a whole I find questions like this odd. Being diamond and not knowing rules and perks. I can let that slide but being D+ I can't see how they don't know the perks don't extend to anyone you aren't in a matched C&A relationship with.

Worse than the fact it's the same menu, the food is meh.

So weirdly enough my snails mailer were going to @AshleyDillo and her brothers address because we sailed together. I got my address corrected and now i get one or 2 a month. Oddly enough they are sometimes different. I got an offer through the mail that wasn't on the website. I also updated my email and get them there too. However I have a friend, my BFFs mom who hasn't sailed since 2022, never made prime but gets a ton of offers for interior and OVs.

Have a safe uneventful flight. I am assuming you are flying out of MDW since it's a direct SWA flight. I find the security lines are pretty weird. Having precheck I don't have to to deal with it but my brother and mother do. -
Do they show up when you go to the club Royale website? I have a coworker who has yet to receive a mailer or email but can see his offers on the website.

Isn't it ICONic, don't you think? Aug 3rd-Aug 10th Western Caribbean
Ampurp85 replied to GatorCruiser's topic in Live Blogs
Last Oct on Allure we were, I believe Roatan, and the weather got so bad they had to open up on the ship. So instead of places opening after 2, they revamped the ship selections. I say that to say that maybe they will open ELF and other things to account for the bad weather. -
I noticed this on Freedom, but it was only the first night. Since it was a B2B2B for me the bartenders and servers started to remember us pretty easily. However, I have seen plenty of times where people bring up a spouse/sibling/parent's card asking for prime drinks and the bartender saying no.

I had Hooked on Navigator and I thought the same thing about the steak. It wasn't so good on Wonder but all the specialty restaurants minus Mason Jar were a miss that week. -

We did aparthotels when we stayed in Rome, if you have read my blog, you know my brother can eat. Having the ability to cook was a life savior. I mean our refrigerator stayed filled with cheeses and breads. Plus, they sold good wine by the gallon. I don't have children but even I know your daughter should be fine making friends. I have to say as a whole it's very easy to make friends on a cruise ship. -

I seriously doubt Utopia will come off a party schedule anytime soon. Royal is making a killing with those sailings. I will do a B2B in the future, but Icon is on the books for Jan 2026, and I can't wait. Will get around to Utopia when I think some of the heat has died down. -

Have a great vacation. I want to hear more about the interport-ing process. I mean since you are sailing star class you have less to worry about when it comes to reservations, but it is nice to know how things work out. -

PSA - Don't Fly In The Day of the Cruise
Ampurp85 replied to twangster's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I have the Chase Sapphire Reserve which has a $595 fee but almost the same benefits. I have an annual insurance policy, but I am not renewing because the card covers me better and I pay for everything on the card. And there is less hassle. Travel insurance can be a pain to navigate. -
PSA - Don't Fly In The Day of the Cruise
Ampurp85 replied to twangster's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I think this is an important PSA for most people. But I am in the same situation as @billdauterive I just don't advocate to others to do what I do. I also would never do this if it's over a 4hr flight. I used to fly more for work and have tons of horror stories but thakfully, knock on wood, have avoided that when it comes to cruises. Living in Chicago I am lucky to have access to lots of direct flights. For me it's much more stressful to do pre cruise hotel stays as a lot can happen and I'm having to deal with more logistics. The thing is that air travel has become more of a gamble. Sadly I've known people who were flying 3 days beforehand and never made it to their cruise. The most important thing imho is to have coverage in case life happens. -
I agree that maybe you should start off with a smaller class over something like Oasis and Icon class. Also try a shorter itinerary so you can get a feel for cruising. Freedom and Mariner are great ships to start out on. I also think Fort Lauderdale(FLL) is much easier to navigate for first timers. The airport is visible from the cruise terminal and vice versa. The hotels are also more wallet friendly. I often fly in and out of FLL even when sailing from Miami.

@JohnK6404 the PB&J is sweet for a whisky drink but still might be on the strong side. Speaking of MJ drinks, I thought the peach tea drink would also be sweeter than it was. Imho none of the whiskey/bourbon-based drinks at MJ are "sweet" enough for my liking. If you have vouchers to waste because you are prime, then yeah try them but other than the Mississippi moonlight, I wouldn't pay for any of them. -
