  1. There is a luggage tag that comes with the D+ pin that says diamond plus and is just nice. It is hard plastic and leather straps
  2. If you are on time usually 7:30, but this is after key, suite and pinnacle guest. So maybe 8 at the latest.
  3. One original person must remain on the reservation. I imagine the OBC is tied to the reservation. So either you or your husband needs to be assigned and the OBC should be put under you. But if the reservations are linked, you can purchase the drink packages in cruise planner with the OBC.
  4. Since the reservations are in the other family name. You would need them to swap names. I have done this and it was still a mess. If you want to keep your room at the rate, you need to add fake names. Then have your wife and daughter added to the other reservations. Be mindful of any cruise planner purchases because they are tied to the reservation and not the person. Good luck.
  5. I think it is more so a lot of newbies don't really know the cost. Price a 3/4 night and then a 7 night. Sometimes it is as much and /or more. I feel like a couple of years ago this was true but with Oasis class doing shorties, it's not the case. I saw a 7n symphony that was less than a 4 night Utopia. I understand Utopia is new but that ship is only doing shorties. Royal knows what they are doing because people are willing to pay a premium. It's the marketing.
  6. Not really a lower price as shorter cruise cost more per night than a longer cruise.
  7. Thanks for all the replies. The plan was to bring my BC as backup. I am sending it right off to be renewed when I get back because my Alaskan sailing is in Sept and I know I will need it.
  8. I love how spicy Marley is, I just love penguins. I hate bugs but we went to the bug museum in New Orleans, and I was a little scarred from the experience.
  9. I have an inquiry. I will be doing a B2B2B on Freedom in May. My passport expires in Sept, which is only 4 months of validity after the cruise. Since the port stops are only Nassau and PDCC. Can I use it? I'm bringing my ID and certified BC, but check in and customs are much easier with a passport.
  10. I have no plans to sail radiance but do you mind saying what floor you are on? I have had issues with Voyager class more than 2pax rooms. I don't understand how or why a room designed to hold 3 or 4 is often smaller than one that is double occupancy. I always thought top tiers was for 5n and up like the laundry perk. So no surprise there.
  11. Hibachi is very limited, so even though they hold back some times, unless you are one of the first to board those 5/9 slots will still most likely be the only options.
  12. I would use the times @Cactus527 stated with a little leeway. I was on Allure in Jan/Feb and my room attendant said late was 5-8. I definitely saw attendant cleaning rooms after 11am. So it could be anytime within a 3hr block.
  13. In most case the cabin attendant will ask you your preference on day one. I say most cases because your attendant may not find you on day one. If you have a situation where you have more than 2 in a room and need to get turndown service for a couch or upper berth they will come again if you choose AM cleaning. We had an upper berth on Mariner in Jan, it was never put up because we had PM cleaning. YMMV on whether a pull out would be put up in the AM if you chose PM cleaning.
  14. No. On Royal the children age is 12 or under. The planner won't allow you to purchase children things because there is no child in your party. On board ymmv, because the staff may be willing to accommodate you, but the onboard price is higher. Might I suggest since she is 13, have her eat at the buffet or any other place she enjoys, and you enjoy Chop's without her.
  15. Anything that list a price will not be included. In most cases that will be the main dining room, the Windjammer, cafe promenade and/or Sorrento's. I believe in the case of Adventure, you have listed the not included options.
  16. I believe you can type in DP340 in the promo code box when you are doing an online booking.
  17. I think that's the case on shorties but on a lot of my 7n sailings there was a headliner and then the person performing the welcome aboard show.
  18. Your husband was correct, that minestrone soup was horrible. It is so good at Giovanni's table. They need to add either vegetable or chicken broth to cut the tomato. You are also correct about the hazelnut cake, my mother was so disappointed with hers on mariner and it seems to not be consistent, as I had in on Allure and it was really wet.
  19. Not at all a fan of curry but it's one of my brother's favorites. He loves spicy and only once has a curry been too hot for him and that was in Japan. He normally tries the Indian dishes in the MDR but he said none of them were spicy. I remember doing 4 in the villa on Harmony, the space was magnificent. I never watch the headliners; I don't feel like their brand of entertainment calls to me. But this will be a massive blow to those that do.
  20. My one and only B2B there was a luncheon, but I got the UDP for the second leg, so I never went. I am doing B2B2B on Freedom in May and I am hoping for the luncheon. I would appreciate a leisurely lunch not dealing with the WJ or ELF
  21. I am glad there is a B2B luncheon on your sailing. They seem to be few and far in-between.
  22. Columbus is my absolute favorite original production, 23/10 stars. It is a silly, hot mess.
  23. I also noticed that some of the shuttles get more expensive. If you are close to the port your standard Lyft/Uber will be at or around $20, that is the pp at some hotels. Like Smokey said, you might also be waiting longer and arrive later.
