  1. Some bars, usually the ones by the pools, open up as early as 10 am and on my last cruise, the bar at the night club was usually open until 1 or 2 am depending on what time the entertainment went on until so your group should have no problem with alcohol availability.
  2. I am doing the same cruise as you with my boyfriend and our group of friends in January. I have watched a couple YouTube videos of different excursions with our itinerary and from what I have heard, the excursions for the water park at Atlantis aren't worth it. You end up spending most of your time waiting on line and do not get to do every water slide you want. I personally am planning on doing the Essential Nassau excursions. It is 3 1/2 hours and you stop at 4 different locations including Atlantis and only $46 a person. I do not plan on doing an excursion at CocoCay because there are pools/bars/food that are complimentary. Cozumel has a Senor Frogs right at the port so that's where I will be! Costa Maya has more adventure excursions. My boyfriend has been there before and ended up doing a water park/zip line excursion and said it was great. I hope this helps!
  3. I am also going on Allure in January! From past experience, there is always somewhere to get food. Other than specialty dining, which is only open for lunch hours and dinner hours, most food places are open throughout the entire day. Sorrento's pizza is open until 2 or 3 am which is super helpful if you are out and about that late. There is also room service 24/7 but that has a service fee plus gratuity. If you download the Royal Caribbean app they have a list of the dining options and the times they will be open during your cruise. I don't know if you have my time dining or traditional dining but you can request a table for two for both. Some people choose to dine with other people in order to meet new people but if you rather have a table to yourselves then you can request that. If you do have my time dining you can make reservations for dinner every night through cruise planner that way you do not have to worry about making reservations once onboard.
  4. I leave on my cruise January 2020 and I was able to make reservations for all the entertainment as of two weeks ago. I kept checking everyday to see when it was available and one day it just showed up so definitely keep checking!
  5. I am going on a cruise in January and we are flying down from Long Island to Fort Lauderdale the day before our cruise leaves. We ending up booking rooms at the Hyatt Place 17th Street. It is close to both the airport and cruise port and is right near a strip mall with restaurants as well as a Publix. The hotel is also near the Embassy Suites and Holiday Inn that other people have mentioned.
  6. I did an Anthem cruise 2 years ago and we booked the North Star for a port day. If you are planning on not getting of the ship in Nassau then I would definitely book it that day. We liked being able to see the island when we did the North Star. We ended up booking it again during a sea day but I personally enjoyed it more during the port day. I would definitely suggest booking it later in the day when the sun starts to set because you get a pretty view! For the Sea Plex, I remember them having most of the activities during both sea and port days but more were scheduled during the sea days. The only down side to that is lines form very quickly, especially for the bumper cars, so I would get to the activity before it starts so you don't get stuck waiting in line. The line for bumper cars sometimes took half an hour and the bumper cars only go for a couple minutes each turn so it wasn't worth waiting in the long line. These are views we had at a port day
