Tommy got a reaction from NEbluebird in Beer prices
Well........I would have thought that was blindingly obvious!
I was trying to point out that RC are not catering for all their passengers equally!!!

Sadly their insistance on buying a package for every adult in the cabin amounts to a "fine" in my case! My wife will probably drink two nights of a 14 day cruise!
Also I NEVER drink spirits! ??

Thank you!
Really annoyed that RC don't do "beer only" drinks package anymore!

Temperature at sea well away from land is almost exclusively a function of sea temperature. If the sea is 15°C then that will likely be what the air temperature is.
Sea temperatures should gradually increase with each passing day as you make your way South. It's not necessarily linear as there are ocean currents involved but if you look at a weather map that displays ocean temperatures that is probably close to what you'll experience.

Since we are in October right now the temperatures are not going to significantly different in a week or two.
You could have rain or other clouds reducing the solar effects of the sun for laying around the pool but that is impossible to forecast at sea. Strong sun days when the sea is 17°C can still be pleasant by the pool. Overcast days with strong winds or rain and not so much.

When we sailed from Southampton to the Canaries in mid-June, the first couple of days were cool, but that didn't stop folks from hanging by the pool. Sailing from Baltimore in the fall, the first couple of days were also on the cool side. I would expect to enjoy the hot tub rather than the pool.....

They make you purchase it for all the adults in the room when you are onboard as well. You have to at least purchase the Refreshment Package for your wife. For the best prices do this before you get onboard. It does require a phone call to Royal to make the purchase to override the requirement of both having the Deluxe package.
The Deluxe package was $89/day onboard my last cruise. It was regularly $49-$52/day in the cruise planner. Totally worth calling and getting your wife the Refreshment Package (which is typically $20-$22/day in the cruise planner).

On Anthem out of Bayonne, Molson Canadien is offered.. but on Freedom out of San Juan it is not. The beer offered varies ftom ship to ship.... the Molson was in a large can, only in the Solarium, it was $8.00 plus gratuities.
It was American Molson... distributed in the USA.
