  1. We rented AVIS at Tampa and dropped off at Avis on the Sunday morning around 11:30. We were on the shuttle within minutes and on the boat by 12pm. Coming back, we got off the boat around 7:25am, shuttle was waiting and we were on the road by 8am.

Worked well for us. I had planned to drop off the family and luggage before the car being dropped off but my wife said we have plenty of time and it wasn't an issue. Harmony was the only sailing on Sundays so curious how efficient they are when there are 4 ships etc...

  2. We just got off the Harmony and we didn’t do the Key. I didn’t miss any benefits. We purchased 1 internet package between 4 of us and logged out & in as needed. It was painless.

We were on the boat in 10 minutes as we had done online Check-In and I was in the rental car within 30 mins of crossing the gangway.

The cheapest I ever saw it for our sailing was 29.99 a day which for four of us was $840 for the week. Way too much. We had no issues with seeing shows etc.

    YMMV.

  3. It sounds like they block any port other than the standard web browsing port 80 (http://) and 443 (https://) so yes, look at TeamViewer/LogMein that uses standard web browsing ports. There were some remote desktop plugins for Chrome, but I have never used them. (Ironic using the word ports when it's a ship involved!).

  4. We are on Harmony a week later. I've taken the view that there is very little I can do about it so will handle it if I need to. My take is the odds that another tropical storm that would hit Port Canaveral on or around the Sunday is fairly low. Yes, it can happen but I suspect once Dorian is gone the risk is low..., whether we do the Eastern Caribbean or not, I roll with the wave.. (sic).

  5. Basically it's very shady. I have had many offers and the price never changes. I've even waited for the "offer" to expire, then go back and check. Oddly enough it's the same price!

Apparently the discount is based on the 'on-board' price!!

  6. The sale always seem to reference the price if you were to purchase on-board. I've received numerous "time limited" sales, BOGO at 50% off etc, and it's basically BS. They claim they take 25% off each person rather than show one at full and 2nd at 50% off. In the past I've waited for the "sale" to end and noticed my price remains the same. In some countries that's fraudulent advertising and illegal but in the US it's caveat emptor. To me it's shady at best.

I love this thread because I recently read about someone complaining that the water park was sold out on her sailing and they should sell unlimited tickets yet here it says about it being so crowded it isn't worth the money.

That would so make my day being told the water park is sold out. Makes it easier to tell the kids. We'll be there late Sep and there is no way I'm dropping ~$260 for them to get bored in less than 2 hours. ?
