We have been on 2 New England/Canada cruises with Royal. One on Explorer and one on Anthem. Explorer was in October and it was cold so not much pool use there but Anthem was in September and it was actually hot. Even Canada in Halifax and New Brunswick were both unseasonable warm to hot. We lucked out and plenty of pool use. The great thing about Anthem if that is the ship you are looking at has an indoor pool. We LOVE that pool. Can use it all year round.

So that 99 bucks included the gratuity? That makes it more appealing. It's only a 5 night cruise so I'm not sure I want to even do 3 nights dining specially. I mean I know we are gonna do Jaime's Italian. That we agreed upon, we loved it there first time. My wife and I actually like going to the MDR. Now for Oasis in May 7 days to FL and Coco Cay I think definitely we will get a 3 night dining package or whatever they offer. Thanks for the answers guess, appreciate it as usual.

We are on Anthem Sept. 21 and I was just checking pre cruise things to book. There is a 3 night dining package for 99 bucks. Is is 99 bucks per person or 99 bucks for 2? Our son is 6 so I know he doesn't need it. So is it 99 bucks for 2 or 200 bucks basically for 2? Thanks for the help.

Yeah no doubt about that. That is the first thing I thought of. If for some reason the app. won't open or my phone is going through some crazy thing that or a crazy update I'm bringing the printed set sail pass too which in the end really negates the need for the app really at that point. I might as well just pull out the 3 printed set sail passes at that point. All they do is scan it. There is no real advantage to using the app except you save not needing the paper passes, correct? They just need to scan either app. Passes or paper printed passes and see your passport? Am I right on this?

Yeah I've been on vacation this whole week and it's consumed my life the whole time. I just want it to be over with and go away now. I basically watched it grow from a little nothing storm to one of the worst in history. Tired of it now.

There are some pics of Coco Cay and it's just fine. I saw a bunch of them. It said they don't even have much branches down. Looks like it will open when they said it will. I'll try and find the link.

It's why we call them them the CC police. It's as if I committed a capital crime. Nasty comments. I'm sorry but I'm not buying a soda package for a 4 year old. Now he is 6 and we are on Anthem next month and I did get him a soda package which I'm still questioning. I got it for him and my wife. I am drinking free water this cruise. I have lost 73 pounds and have up all soda and only drink water. I'm gonna bring 10 bottles of water, carry them on and then drink ship water the rest of the way. It's gonna be nice to cruise and not be fat! Just as a side note. ?

CC is a cesspool of hate at times. I remember saying I split a drink with my 4 year old son when I had the drink package but he didn't and they made it that i was Hitler and I am the reason Royal Caribbean is gonna go out business. Shared a drink with a 4 YEAR OLD! They had an absolute fit. These boards are WAY better and its Royal only and we are pretty much Royal only.

This idea that it is wrong to think about Coco Cay or worry about a vacation is wrong. Its ok to worry about Coco Cay and your vacation in my opinion. Unless you are saying boy I hope everything gets destroyed but spares Coco Cay for my vacation, that would be wrong. People on cruise critic which can be a TOXIC message board at times are screaming at people that they shouldn't worry about Coco Cay and a vacation. I don't agree with that. I don't think anyone here is saying I hope everyone's lives are ruined so I can have a nice vacation.

Well this is really scary stuff. Watching this storm turn into a freaking massive monster slowly all week. The few videos coming out already are heartbreaking. This might be something we have never seen before, at least in my lifetime. I pray for all in its path. PLEASE miss all of the US. We are on Anthem next month to Bermuda and it wouldn't bother me at all to end up in Halifax or New Brunswick. Thank goodness to me the ship is the vacation.

Well this is all great info, thanks. I will bring the paper set sail passes just in case. We are gonna try the app. I guess they will just snap a quick picture of all three of us and we'll be on our way. I'm excited to try the app. and see if it scans and all that. After they can the app. set sail passes do they need to see your passport at that time?

Yeah I definitely missed that one. Good news though. I guess we'll give it a try next month. We'll bring the paper passes just in case and we'll have to take pics at the port too. I'm sure it'll be quick either way. Last time on Anthem it was like 20 minutes we were on the ship with paper set sail passes.

So for fun I decided to open the new Royal Caribbean app and to my surprise it had all my cruise info in there where it didn't just a few months ago. I see our set sail passes and everything which is cool. Is this new news or just to news to me? I guess they got all that info from my check in from the website? I was looking for a place to add a picture but couldn't find that. Maybe all features are ready yet for Anthem? So now we can just show this app and our set set sail pass not use the paper set sail passes? I guess once they can the passes from our phones they will take a quick of all of us and we'll be on our way? Is that how this kinda works?

I talked to my TA and he sail nothing is available on his end. He didn't "sold out" specifically but nothing is available mean sold out to me.

Yes me too. Could confuse people booked on the cruise.

Yes I should have mentioned that a search for all of September to Bermuda so the cruises are gone. There were at 2 and neither are showing up.

I hope not, don't those always end in disaster? Or at least can be annoying?

Hmm I just for fun checked my TA's website and its not showing up at all either. Interesting, its a Bermuda one stop cruise so I doubt the itinerary changed but I guess anything is possible.

Every room costs more. This is a premium, 2,500 bucks more and its annoying the way this room is treated. I just don't like it. I never booked one but I just see things like this and I don't like it. We did have a Grand suite once on Explorer and it was INCREDIBLE. What an awesome room. 9 days Explorer to Canada/NE. What an incredible cruise that was. We get a regular balcony all the time except once we had a Promenade room which we actually loved. That was a fun room close to the action being right in the heart of the ship. Next month we are on Anthemn regular balcony but next May Oasis in a Central Park view room. Its all good, I LOVE Royal, I just don't like how Junior suites are treated.

22 days to go for our Anthem cruise and like most for fun I check all the time the prices, and see what is available. I haven't done that in quite a bit so I figured ah lets check for fun. It didn't even come up. I got the we searched the globe but didn't find anything. Does that mean its completely sold out?

I just looked at the cruise we have booked on Oasis next year. Junior suite is 5,800 bucks for a 7 day cruise, a regular balcony was 3,300 bucks. Its a premium and they kick you in the face every chance they get and treat you like a second class citizen. I LOVE Royal Caribbean but this really annoys me. Sorry that is just how I feel.

Why in general are Junior suites treated like the red headed step child of suites? There is a premium to booking one so I son't get it.
