They charge what people will pay. I remember when they were building Harmony and putting it in Florida with two other Oasis ships. I thought they would saturate the market and prices would drop. Time sure has proven me wrong. Never underestimate what people are willing to pay for discretionary things. You will probably be proven wrong too.

I mean this with total respect. You shouldn't be the least bit annoyed. If you don't like the price, get a balcony room and spend the rest to get what you want. I would bet that the full suites on that cruise are much higher. It really is all about supply and demand but the ultimate choice is always yours.

I think Royal's intentions were good, it's just that in reality their program won't work indefinitely. It's a little like a Ponzi scheme. It's all fine when few get the benefits. Eventually, the system changes or collapses. I think we are close to change. It's a business and they have to make a profit. They know who generates revenue and who doesn't. In the end, it will be those that generate revenue that will be catered to. It has to be that way or you go bankrupt.

I agree. I think a likely change is make the Suite lounge for suites and move Pinnacles and Diamond plus to the Diamond lounge. Diamonds will get 3 drinks on their cards. That makes the most sense to me.

My guess is that they will not have new tiers but instead reduce benefits.

I think the Pinnacles and all C&A benefits will continue to be reduced. There are just too many people and the numbers are increasing. I think it's just reality.

Fortunately, I'm blessed with a wife who is a horrible cook. They can feed me anything and I'm happy.

I've always enjoyed the MDR and I think the food is fine. It's just a perk that comes with suites. When I don't have a suite, I'm just as happy.

I agree, the filet is fantastic. It wasn't the first night on my last cruise. Has this changed?

Can you make reservations in advance? I believe that suites have first choice. I don't see it on the cruise planner but was thinking the concierge could make them when they contact you prior to sailing.

I have never seen anyone expecting to have a bad time have a good time. The bad news is, you will have a bad time, you will be unhappy and you will have wasted your money. The good news is, you know what you like and what is important to you so the next time, you can find something that matches your criteria and enjoy yourself. Unfortunately, that's how we all learn.

Does anyone know if any construction has started in Galveston or the estimated completion date. This and west coast cruises would be huge for us out west.

I haven't been able to confirm one way or the other. Does anyone know, if you use Choice Air and it's an American flight and you use am American credit card, do you still get your free bags? Thanks.

I was looking at Jet Blue to go to Ft. Lauderdale but my cruise is out of Miami and we would leave on a different airline. It's logistics.
