  1. That's what i like to hear! The pub is underrated!
  2. You should've tried it! I promise you, an Irish car bomb really doesn't taste like beer!
  3. Reminds me of the old adage... Like your meat well done? Order the chicken!!
  4. Ok, maybe not #TeamMike'sWife! But Batman is! If I'm going BBQ, chicken is a waste! Give me dry rubbed ribs! But BBQ chicken is Batman's fave.
  5. You lost me on this, 100%! Best hang out with great entertainment! Can you please put in a good word for us?! I don't think my life will be complete without having Shane as our Genie at least once. Symphony 5/31, 8734 thank you so much. Bye!
  6. Ah, so you made a decision! Nice! #TeamMike'sWife well, at least i think. I don't like BBQ sauce at all.
  7. I can't believe i didn't see your blog until page 2! Driving to the port is the BEST, and that doesn't make a blog boring! I mean it certainly adds drama, but reading about travel to the port gives ME stress. And i loved Capt Bob's! Have so much fun! We used to cruise with the Mouse the same time every year, and we got close with several other families who also cruised the same week we did. One trip there was about 30 of us or so and one of my friends got Capt Bob to dedicate two of his boats, just for us. And she negotiated both boats have rum punch as well as beer, soda, and water. It was one of my favorite cruise memories! I miss those friends (we pretty much all abandoned the Mouse since, though we did manage one more cruise on Norwegian together a couple of years later). Looking forward to you getting aboard Sunday!
  8. P.S. Thank you. I've had a really CRAP day. I appreciate the Escape you're providing!
  9. Hey! I admire the resourcefulness of the 2 guys, stalking unneeded Star seats! Super smart! Nice bottle. Lovely! The other day i dreamed of having Shane as our Genie and showing up with a bottle of Opus One. I love red wine. Now, do i drink that myself? Hello, no. At the rate i drink grapes, I'd be destitute. Would i buy that for my Genie, however? In a heartbeat.
  10. I have no idea, but I can tell you that was the exact line that caught my attention too! I am going to ask around and try to find out. We used to get this insurance policy before we moved over to Chase Sapphire. It covers shorex reimbursement for missed port stops so this letter would be helpful to make claims. Universal Cruise Nationwide SVG Logo ITINERARY CHANGE – PRE-PAID EXCURSION In the event a cruise line makes a Change in Your Trip itinerary, after Your actual departure date that prevents You from participating in an event/activity that was pre-paid prior to departure and scheduled on Your Trip itinerary, Your nonrefundable pre-paid event/activity expenses will be reimbursed up to the Maximum Benefit shown on the Schedule of Benefits, subject to any applicable sub-limits. 11. OMG, 150CP was like my fave. I'm already planning my next meal there: short ribs 1st course, short ribs 2nd course, short ribs for dessert ... yum!
  12. Andrew is saying your delay is due to thruster repairs.
  13. This is great! Well, not that you have to revise plans, but that they are waiting. We sailed out of Copenhagen one year (my fave!), and we had about 150 people on our cruise that were flying JFK to Copenhagen. Their flight was supposed to get in on Sunday (cruise left Tuesday), and we sat at the dock waiting for them to 8:30 when they all made it onboard. Yes, their flight was delayed > 48 hours (Norwegian Air ... the airline, not the cruise line). No one cared. We all had the drink package and were cheering them on! It was kind of cool!
  14. That was my thought .... and my next one was .... since he rented the FlowRider, did this mean you rent a cabana now too?
  15. Oh and so nice Shane could join you for lunch! I'm guessing there was no charge for him to join you? I ask because we've taken our Haven Butler to dinner at a specialty restaurant and we paid the full cover (which sort of ticked me off. You'd think they would give us her employee discount ).
  16. Is that the Star Class session or did they rent out a private session?
  17. Godspeed! Wishing you a safe journey without further delays!
  18. I think that every time too for the same reason when i think about blogging. But ... Who cares!
  19. Ok, the highlight for me here is .... SHANE! You are doubly blessed. He's been on both our SC sailings. I only met him briefly but he's literally EVERYWHERE on the ship. Both sailings, i felt some days i saw him more than our own Genies. One day i hope to be lucky enough to enjoy his legendary Genie powers. I did hear he wanted to stay in NY/NJ, so perhaps 3rd time will be the charm for our Symphony cruise in May. One can only hope!
  20. Sorry to hear about Hailey. Hope she's getting the care she needs! This made me . Who knew you could purchase the Key and get the same level of service as Star Class?
  21. Oh no. I admit I've complained about this a few times myself. I certainly don't begrudge anyone their earned or paid-for perks, but when you combine suite perks and loyalty perks, that waters down the perks for everyone. There has to be a better solution. Whether you're a suite guest or Pinnacle guest without a seat in the lounge or really slow service due to overcrowding, the outcome is the same for both types of guests.
