  1. I would love to, and I'm sure everyone here would love it too! Our cruise dance card is full for 2025 already though. Please give me a 24 month bogey next time. Thank you! If you push it to 2026, we're in.
  2. What, what?! Am i the only one feeling left out here? I mean did @Ampurp85 and @asquared17 clear this with anyone else? HMMPH. I guess i know where i stand!
  3. Every Mexican restaurant is "Baha Fresh" in this house! And love the size of your room! However, i stand by my 90s College Decor comment! I know she just got a refurb pre-CV19, but the cabins got no love. They need some.
  4. First, Bon Voyage! Second, 5pm?! You're going to make a GREAT vintage someday!
  5. Hey, I'm so sorry! Please call off the search party! OK, you leave the 10th, i haven't missed it! I'm 0 for 2 coming home healthy so i hope you have much better luck!
  6. If it's any consolation re: . Norwegian's lobster quality took a nose dive as well. Same in size and quality based on these pics. Unlimited lobster is available in the Haven restaurant and we never bothered due to the overwhelming complaints. Apparently the lobster was fine on days 1 and 2, but petered out by the end of the week.
  7. Many valid FlowRider concerns. Mine is going viral when some clown films me and i wind up on TikTok, shorts bunched up in an extreme wedgie, muffin top hanging out, looking like a wet mop head as i not only wipe out, but i manage to go over the side and land face first on the deck itself. The end. This is why I'd stay on the sidelines and watch with @OCSC Mike He can eat while i have a beer ...
  8. Ohhh, a trip report within a trip report! Loved the comparison! Hoping for your Royal Up! The Grand Suite would be awesome! After debarkation on 10/1 and sailing again 11/19 thanks to Batman, I'm seriously considering buying cruise stuff. Like cruise-only underwear, pajamas, face products etc. Packing is soooo overrated!!
  9. Cruise ship karaoke is such a crapshoot. We tend to avoid it as people tend to sing songs they like to sing but no one else likes to hear. (I once suffered through a friend's Unbreak My Heart and felt I'd done penance for all previous sins). If nothing is going on, we might suffer through, but the rule is the second someone sings something from Greese or The Devil Went Down to Georgia, we're out.
  10. Yum! Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder. I draw the line at veal, but lamb is amazing. Though i feel bad every time i eat it .... Is it The Book that no one can follow or The Gift? I can't keep up! Me 3! Do you know i can't help comparing ... Mike booked us on Norwegian over Thanksgiving. Norwegian splits the D+ equivalent on Royal (Sapphire 175-349 points/Diamond 350-699 points). We didn't bother going to the loyalty party, but found out there were a "boatload" of Platinum (Royal's equivalent to Diamond), 29 Sapphire, 6 Diamond, 2 Ambassador (Royal's Pinnacle equivalent). Seems the great benefits on both cruise lines start at Platinum/ Diamond respectively. I wonder how long both cruise lines can keep up with the perks.
  11. Forgive me. We got back Sunday, and as per usual, i was raging ill beginning Monday morning, and am finally just feeling up to catch up. Forgive me as i multi quote one post at a time (for maximum efficiency, of course)... 1) i worked at DD starting junior year of high school through my first 2 years of college summers. Still the best coffee (especially if you find a chain that uses well water like ours does). Starbucks tastes burnt to me, and it's no wonder its nickname is Charbucks. 2) My fave cousin and his family moved from Deerfield Beach, Fl back to NJ. I know they occasionally miss it! He and his wife are both teachers and left FL for much better pay and benefits here though I'm glad to have them here instead. I did tell them they moved in the wrong direction! But no one can tell me we don't treat treat our teachers right here! Sorry, the rest will be cruise relevant, i promise!
  12. Hehe, sorry, still on our own cruise where Batman told me he packed 11 pairs but in reality brought 7 and is now running out because he sent out laundry on Day 2 ... who does that when driving from home?? Anyway, safe travels and Bon Voyage!!!!
  13. I promise I'm not reviving this thread for any reason other than to say ... Hello from Norwegian Getaway where Batman has learned the power of a packing cube for undergoodies, buying cruise-specific undies, and learning to get to the power of 2xN+1 (he packed 11 pairs for 7 nights....) I'm sorry I've been MIA on your current blogs. I'll be back soon!
  14. Driving to the port is the only way to go! Bon voyage!
  15. First of all, I'm thinking you undersold the bit about "if i can do it, anyone can do it." We definitely would be waaaayyy tooooo stressed dealing with the journey you took! I'm pretty sure that based on the description you provided, I'd never attempt a joy ride on a vaporetto ... I'm a little disappointed though that there was no pic of the pushy woman demanding a seat for her son. Can you imagine what kind of mother-in-law she'll turn out to be for some poor bride?! The B&B does look lovely, but I'm wondering if there is an easier way to get there . I think after your "adventure" there, I'd be looking into a private car service or helicopter ride .... And since your wife bought undies in Italy, I'm pretty sure they count as souvenirs and definitely not necessities!
  16. Hey, i sold a kidney to sail in the OP, so you're not getting any flack from me!
  17. I absconded to the restroom when i didn't even have to go to continue live blogging, for crying out loud! I question your commitment to this forum!!
  18. Good info and thank you, but I'm still eagerly awaiting your REASONABLY PLEASANT FRUGAL GENIUSES DELIGHT YOU WITH FOOD PORN blog.
  19. Ok, boo on anything coconut! Yuck! Wait, aren't you already in a GL? I'm counting on your review of the stair lights on Odyssey!!!!!
  20. Weird and only a nominal amount, but why would suites pay less for Other Hotel Services than non-suites? You'd think that'd be standard.
  21. Either Aliyah's secret clearance level isn't high enough to know or yours isn't high enough to disclose to. Seriously, IDK why it's such a secret either. When we sailed Disney and Holland, we knew exactly who was getting what. It's an honest question that deserved a better response.
  22. Some of my friends here know i love Norwegian, but they are worse ... $20pp/pd for Club balcony and less (including inside) and $25pp/pd for Suites and Haven. What's even worse is some standard Haven "suites" are no larger than Club Balcony and Haven DSC does not include your concierge or butler. What's even worse than that, at least on Norwegian, we have a long time friend/employee who told us that she never saw a raise with the increase in DSC. Norwegian went way bold (also offering less for more $$). But even though i let Batman book our next cruise and it wasn't the way I'd have booked, i am glad he did have enough sense to book when included DSC was a perk.
