I thought your English was quite good and figured you were from another country. So sorry you had such a negative experience, but I do get it. We were on Ovation in September. The food in the MDR was bad and I think I may eat like your children , but I certainly don't want to eat the same meal each day. A drunk lady shoved my sister in the bathroom...she was lucky she didn't fall, all because she didn't run when the next available stall opened up. We (and many others) had to abandon a trivia game because a table of rude, noisy people who were not playing over-talked the staff member calling out the questions. And the worst part...a glacier cruise that skipped visiting the glacier, even though the weather was good. I assure you I whined quite a bit about that trip. All these were the experiences on that trip...were they all royal's fault? Maybe not, but I am sure glad that I love to spend time with my family....so the cruise wasn't a complete bust.

Not saying the OP's teens are not well behaved but wasn't it recently a bunch of vandalism was done by unsupervised teens on a ship.....

Our first cruise was GTY. Never again. Hated not knowing where we would get stuck and worried whether it would be convenient to anything. I love to plan, so room selection is part of that process. I personally wouldn't be receptive to switching. And Royal isn't having any problem filling up these ships. I guess in the future you may want to make sure you choose connecting rooms for both rooms.

Wow. Just wow. First the people who were in my room would be getting out. After the one experience of waiting for a guarantee room...I only book rooms I've selected. After they got them out, the steward would have to clean everything, because there is no way to know if they sat on the beds, used the bathroom, etc... I would make sure that your unsatisfactory experience at guest services gets noted on your survey. I find it unsettling that they entered your room with your card. You know....the card you may have a payment attached to. The housekeeping supervisor should have been alerted to fix the problem, instead of having it be "your" problem. They probably ate your C&A cookies that they weren't suppose to get. What a hot mess!

I'm sorry, but I'm sick of everyone thinking one should be soooooo grateful to be cruising. When I cruise, I pay for it and as of late it costs me way more than it did pre-covid. In September I went on a 7 day Glacier cruise that at the last minute the Captain decided not to visit. No bad weather. Nothing stopping them from going the week before or the week after and NOTHING stopping them from hawking the paid excursions to the same said glacier. If they had informed us prior to the vacation we would be skipping the glacier...I assure you we would have booked something else.

Thanks so much! We avoid the casino because unfortunately it does smell like smoke. So glad the transition into the Schooner isn't affected.

Hello! Looking at a cruise on Liberty of the Seas. Wonder if anyone knows if there is a problem with smoke travelling from the casino into the Schooner Bar. My sister and I love the Schooner Bar and usually do many of the activities scheduled there. Thanks in advance!

We are sailing out of Bayonne on Oasis of the Seas end of October. We are at 57 days. Entertainment hasn't opened yet. Has it open for any of the other sailings out of Bayonne that are leaving sooner? Penny

We got the drink/voom pkg so we each had voom. Although we could share like you said, mysister wanted us to each have our own ?

Not really, we grouped voom with our drink package, we would rebook our drink pkg and take advantage of the voom that comes with the Key.

I wasn't worried about using the Key's other benefits, I was hoping it could guarantee an early boarding time.

As you can guess I am hoping to avoid a bad boarding time. We will of course try to get an early one, but I was hoping if given a crappy one the Key might have circumvent it.

Hi! Listening to one of Matt's recent FB broadcasts it was mentioned that cruisers needed to abide by the check in time. My question is, if you purchase the Key which has priority boarding, are you still tied to the boarding time?

For those of you that have had the UDP....is the $20/$35 stipends good all day? Just wondering if when we get on the ship, we can use our stipend for lunch on embarkation day.

what was the daily stipend that you could spend at Playmakers with the UDP?

We have been debating.... But if they let 1000 people into the Coco Beach Club, it will seem crowded. I'm hoping someone knows if and what the capacity is.

Hello! We are hoping our Oct. 4 cruise to Cococay will still happen. Anyone know what the capacity for the Coco Beach Club is? It says limited reservations....so we were wondering how many people will be in that area ? Penny

Alas we can commiserate... my sister spent over an hour on the phone...talked to 3 people in India which she could hardly understand...only to be told sorry contact your travel agent. So then she had to email Michelle with MEI....and we are now in a holding pattern to hear if she had better luck. At this point if RCCI posts any pics of Oasis on Instagram or FB, I am complaining on their feed :(

We checked our daily balance on the TV in our cabin. We wanted to be sure the $$$ jived with our purchases.

I agree with the comment above. The dining rooms on Anthem have the tables for 2 seated quite close together...we could have touched our fellow diners and it was close for our servers to negotiate between the tables.

Does every cruise have a parade during their sailing?

When we were on Anthem last year there was a parade held on the Promenade with the Dreamworks characters. Now that Royal has moved away from this entertainment, what are the non-holiday parades like and is there one each sailing?
