  1. To switch to My Time Dining you should call either your travel agent (if you booked through one), or Royal Caribbean (if you didn't). If they still have room, they will switch you over. If they are unable to switch you, then you can either email them or you can visit the MDR on the afternoon that you embark and ask them to put you at a private table. Enjoy your cruise!
  2. Asking for a friend. I know you can take towels off of the ship into port, but can you take kid's life jackets? I feel like the answer would be no, but never having had kids, I wasn't 100% sure. Lay it on me, peeps!
  3. I would never put a bid in for the same category. If I have a balcony (guarantee or not) I'd only bid a Jr suite or greater. I'd see no point in bidding in the same category.
  4. You can just buy it for one device. You can share it, you will just be using one device at a time. Enjoy!
  5. Yes, if you have the Unlimited plan you can eat at multiple specialty restaurants each day (you can just only eat at Playmakers once each day). If you get the 3-night dining package that's basically 3 meals at any specialty restaurant (nothing else).
  6. I'd be working with a good travel agent. It'll save you tons of time.
  7. Radiance-class ships (like Serenade) are beautiful ships. What are you thinking that you are missing on this classic ship that you will get on a larger one? Larger ships may have water slides, Broadway shows, ice-skating rinks, more specialty dining. But I love Radiance-class ships. You get a very classic sailing experience on a very beautiful ship that's very connected to the ocean (lots and lots of public spaces with large windows, and a beautiful Promenade deck that you can walk all the way around the ship near the water and even get up on the bow on the helipad! It really just depends on what YOU are looking for.
  8. This is the latest about what is known about Icon. Beyond that, nobody knows, yet! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/12/08/royal-caribbean-reveals-new-restaurants-bars-and-activities-icon-of-the-seas?fbclid=IwAR0D5kxeJ4y4T90DBSE6eA6XOCm8ADeoKOtVuqbzUii5vuhVj4Qm5rkOR28
  9. There's a sale about every 4-6 weeks. You'll have plenty of options. That being said, things do sell out, so if there's something you know you want (especially The Key or specialty dining packages, and Alaskan shore excursions), buy them now. If they go down in price later you can always cancel and rebook at the lower price. I cannot emphasize enough how quickly Alaskan shore excursions sell out.
  10. You will have to check with Royal Caribbean or your travel agent. This is a fan site, unaffiliated with Royal Caribbean. But welcome!
  11. Welcome! I learned a lot from the YouTube videos that Matt and his team create. I'm sure people will chime in with suggestions, but these videos are a great way to do some research! https://www.youtube.com/@RoyalCaribbeanBlog/videos
  12. Magnetic hooks Pen and Post It Notes for leaving notes for my stateroom attendant Wrinkle Release
  13. It's rare in Alaska, but it's always a possibility. Reasons recently have been the pier collapse in Skagway last summer and engine trouble on Quantum. There are typically not weather issues that would alter an itinerary. I personally wouldn't worry about it.
  14. Please read the pinned post in this forum, specifically "Posts or comments encouraging cruisers to break any Royal Caribbean policy is not allowed and will be removed." .. and so they have. Thanks.
  15. Definitely beats winter up north. That being said, I've been to Coco Cay 4 times between Dec-March and have never had it warm enough to be there without a light sweater. It's always been cool (ok), and cool and windy, or cool and windy and rainy. I don't blame Coco Cay. I blame the Bahamas, lol.
  16. Did 5 night sailings ever had lobster nights? I feel like they didn't.
  17. You should be able to make reservations when you get on board. They don't sell them all out in advance. Enjoy!
  18. Both travel advisories have been in place for a while (Jamaica since Oct 5, 2022 and Haiti since December 1, 2022). I don't believe they have changed any itineraries based on this so far?
