  1. Every time I've had a cruise that goes to Nassau there's been a birding excursion listed in the Cruise Planner.
  2. Haha, no rest for the wicked. We may be on the Coronas schedule until the end of the year!
  3. I get that. I can carry about 580 hours of PTO, so I'm not forced to take any or lose it at this point.
  4. Yeah, I pretty much suck at vacation planning.
  5. My backup plan will just be to go to work. *sigh*
  6. Yeah, it's been an awful few months. Between the Coronas, the riots this week, the sick hound, the room, one of my other pets died last night and knowing there are no cruises in the nearish future I'm pretty raw. I do like having this group, though.
  7. Upon the news that we have credit with JetBlue to Boston, Mr SpeedNoodles thought a short trip to Boston might be fun, so it'll all work out. I'll just miss meeting you all. Honestly, in all likelihood we would have had to cancel on our own. We have to put a new roof on the house in July and one of my dogs is currently in the doggy ER - estimated bill $2.5k-9k, so ....
  8. There are no cancellation fees, but they only give credit on future flights - no cash refunds.
  9. I have credit with them, yes. Unfortunately, it's JetBlue. Anywhere I go from Minnesota I have to go through Boston. We always fly direct because Mr SpeedNoodles is very afraid of flying. Having to fly 3 1/2 hours and change planes for another flight may be worse than losing the money. Or maybe we'll just do a trip to Boston for the hell of it.
  10. I'm kicking myself for buying my plane tickets a few weeks ago. I knew better. I'm probably out $700.
  11. Official word: All cancelled. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/06/02/royal-caribbean-cancels-2020-alaska-canadanew-england-and-hawaii-cruises

  13. The last 4 days have been hell. Honestly, I've forgotten that Covid-19 was even a thing. It's nice going back and reading some of these positive things (that I've missed over the last half weekish).
  14. Yeah, I can't even deal with it now anyway. Between the covids, the riots in Minnesota and my dog being mysteriously sick I just want to disappear into the mountains.
  15. Now should I just cancel my cruise planner stuff now or wait? That's the question.

  17. Ah. I’m an avid ceviche / sushi consumer.
  18. I don’t know if Victory has an inside line but they are canceling the rest of the year. They sail into the Canadian Maritimes and New England, among other itineraries https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23005-victory-cruise-lines-suspends-2020-cruise-season-looks-to-2021.html
  19. Welcome to the forums, @silverlining !!!
  20. I like to think I'm just realistic, but apparently others see it another way, lol. I promise I'm fun in person, though! lol
  21. Our altered schedule at work (done to minimize our exposure to each other) results in built-in OT every paycheck. I don't know about you, but that seems like more money for cruises (although in reality we have to reroof the house/garage within a few weeks, so who am I kidding? I know where that money is going).
  22. The first time I was in Nassau (Feb 2019) Royal left a letter in our cabins warning people about eating Conch Fritters on the island. I can't remember what the exact issue was, but I've avoided them ever since, even though I'd love to try them. It would help if I could remember WHY we got the warning. We didn't get one in Dec 2019.
  23. Yeah, I'm booked on that, too. Brilliance GC in October and B2B Odyssey inaugural in November. I know none of it is happening. I won't make other plans anyway, but there's just no point pretending.
