I'm in the process of fixing the photos in my Serenade live blog.  Once that is complete I'll update this thread.

I sailed Serenade twice last year, great ship.  Sad to see her head to Australia next year but ships do move to other regions from time to time.

Taking  a cruise on the Serenade in OCT out of Boston to Bermuda. Looking for any info on the cruise port of Boston. Also if anyone had any pictures of the ship or recommendations about Bermuda we would love to see them as this will be our first cruise out of Boston  to Bermuda. Thanks everyone.

We like to stay at the Holiday Inn port of Miami. it is very nice and clean.  Across the street from the Bayside Market place. Lots of live music food and fun. Check out this great video by Jim Zim. If you want zoom ahead to 4:45 in the Video.

Anyone been in an aft facing balcony?  We just switched to one on Mariner as the room looks quite large.  My main concern is if the view is limited since you can only see behind you (and you are staying still more to handle moving on the short cruises).  Also , the walk is longer.

For those that have stayed in aft facing, do you like it?  Or prefer port/starboard balcony?

 

Did you check you Tube yet??? I did see a video a couple of months ago and the family loved the aft cabin on the Mariner. We just had a cabin on the starboard side on deck 6 just above the life boats and we loved it. Also check Jim Zim on you tube as he also talks about aft cabins on cruise ships also.  

Wow that big zip line looks crazy fun.....

We went looking for a shopping deal in the mid morning but did not really find anything we liked. My wife got a massage on the ship in the morning. I used the treadmill for an hour and watched one of the ships in port have a life boat drill with the boats in the water. That was cool.  We picked up a few cool souvenirs on the short walk back to the ship after the Snorkel trip. Then it was pool time on the ship. It was a great day. Next time We would like to check out Atlantis or just tour Nassau a little more in General. Oh I also woke up extra early and watched the Pilot get on the Mariner and I could see the Captain park the ship from our Balcony. Also loved seeing all the other ships as our son booked a cruise on the Carnival Victory in Jan and we got to see that ship also. Thinking about our next Royal Caribbean cruise ASAP.     

We had a great time on a Snorkel trip in Nassau on OCT 23 2018 and I made a very small video of pictures that we took. Hope you like it.  Here is the link to the video. We even met the Capt of the ship at the airport on the way home. How cool is that???
