  1. My family and I were on this same cruise! I can't believe we didn't run into you - lol! (wink, wink) Roatan - We did the Jolly Rogers snorkeling here. It was fantastic! Everything was top notch and the crew were super. The views under the water were spectacular! (and no mosquitoes!) Costa Maya - The smell was horrible!!! We did the same here - got off ship, looked around and made it back before the rain. The Key - I purchased this for my family. The first day lunch was held in the MDR, but was Chops food. The menu was more limited than a regular lunch at Chops though. However, the cheesecake was the best I have ever had - anywhere! So good! Dropping off carry on luggage was right outside of the MDR. Easy and fast - and in our room before we were. Bing Bong Marc - Agree again - excellent! However, he was not the host of Quest. Some other person was, who never introduced himself. In my opinion, he wasn't as good as Marc. He seemed very hurried and almost acted as if he didn't want to be there. That said my team won, so happy about that! Wow bands - I agree - they worked great at all bars! CoCoCay - We didn't get off the ship. I know, I know, but we live in the Orlando area and have water parks and beaches at our disposal. However, the luxury of having a humongous cruise ship to yourself, not so much. So we enjoyed the pools, slides and bar service on the ship with about 20 other new friends. It was a perfect day! As we were leaving breakfast around 9:45 a.m., Marc announced that over 2000 passengers were already off they ship!! Overall, it was a great cruise for my family! Can't wait to go back!!
  2. I have decorated my families doors in the past, too. Graduations, Anniversaries and other special events (see below) have been recognized. I create my signs in MS Word, print on 11x17 paper and laminate. Then I use magnetic strips to adhere to the cabin door. I think it's fun and festive! ? That said I am not aware of a Royal Caribbean equivalent to Fish Extenders. Below is an example of one of my "homemade" signs. This one was for my son and his wife. They now have it on their refrigerator at home. I guess they liked it, too! ?
  3. I was on Harmony last June and going again this May. We love it for our family vacation! One tip I have is to reserve a dinner in the Solarium one night. It's so good and FREE! Yes, you read that right FREE!!! You do have reserve it in advance on Cruise Planner under dining, but that's not too big of a deal. Right? ? The food is Mediterranean inspired. Salads, appetizers and desserts are served buffet style, while your entree is ordered off of a menu and brought to your table. My sons still reminisce about the calamari appetizer! Everything tasted so fresh! It wasn't busy the night we went, which was also a plus for me. It was our table of six, a few two tops and a larger crew table in the back. It was nice to have the place to "ourselves" almost! Quiet and not hectic like the MDR or Windjammer can be. Hope you are able to enjoy my yummy tip! Have Fun!
  4. I have a question - do you hand the bartenders a cash tip (kind of sounds like you do) or request a paper receipt and add the tip there (which I have done in the past - is that wrong)? Do the bartenders have a preference? I want to get it right, too! Thanks!
  5. Me too!!!! ? According to the Royal app > Main Dining Room > Menu > Second formal night is Day 5 when we are in Roatan. Woo Hoo! Lobster tails here we come! :):):) See you both on board!
  6. I'm sorry you had trouble with your dining reservations, but it's good to read that in the past you were able to book Chops and 150. I am on the edge for booking BOGO for our May cruise on Harmony. I would like to try 150 or Wonderland, but I think it's going to be difficult to book since you have to wait until you get on-board to reserve. Would mind telling me about your past experiences being able to book BOGO specialty restaurants on Oasis class ships? Thanks!
