  1. If you‘re luck, it can go down as low as $18, got that on our Wonder TA in Nov. Espresso is included in Cafe Promenade (they have some Starbucks syrups which are included ad well. The bar in Windjammer serves espresso, as does the main dining rooms and the specialty restaurants. With the refreshment package, you don‘t pay anything extra at any of those locations for speciality coffee. You always pay for any drinks at Starbucks.
  2. No, you don‘t select YOUR cruise, but the one currently running. That will show you everything a current paper cruise compass would.
  3. All the performers, games, entertainment is shown in the planner in the app
  4. You can switch to the current cruise in the app and see all the daily programs and dining items for esch day.
  5. When we originally boarded Wonder in Rome about 2 weeks ago, I was surprised how small the plants still were in Central Park. After a full growing season on the ship, I expected the park to be much more lush than it actually is. It looked as if the plants had only been put in maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. Today, I did the guided tour in Central Park and Laszlo, RCL‘s head gardener, who started the parks on all Oasis class ships, explained that they had to pull out all the plants and replant everything only a couple of weeks ago, since most of the original plants had been chosen for the asian climate Wonder was originally supposed to go. However most of those plants would not be compatible with the Caribbean climate and worse, are considered invasive species by the USDA, so Wonder would not be allowed to dock at any US port with those plants still in.
  6. I actually meant to ask them, but didn‘t come around to do it yet, lots of things to do on the ship However, I went there and it really just is an empty, generic room. Sometimes, they even hold Friends of Bill W. meetings in there. There is apparently a sign for it at the entrance in the forward atrium, but it‘s still covered up.
  7. Going fast actually is the key, as at fullspeed, the back part of the ship sits deeper in the water, giving it a couple of ft. additional clearance.
  8. As said above, regular cabins just have a shower. However, the bathroom of non-accessible rooms have a doorstep that is higher than regular doorsteps. So if you need a completely step-free access to the bathroom, only accessbile cabins would fit your need.
  9. I always wear the bath robe when going to the pool, I thought that was the point of it. I'd feel uncomfortable walking through the ship just wearing my bath trunks and a towel. Also, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I sometimes feel like having a tea, I then put on the bathrobe over my pijamas and go either up to the all-night coffee machines near Windjammer or Cafe Promenade On Brilliance, where the Solarium pool was open all night, I sometimes even went for a 3AM swim, followed by a slice of Pizza from the 24h Solarium snack bar
  10. When we last boarded Harmony of the Seas in Port Everglades, except at Security, there weren't any lines at all. Once you cleared security, there were so many open counters that no line was even able to build. We just had to show the Set Sail pass, they checked the passport and the uploaded picture and that was it, probaly took about 20 sec. max per person and. Once done, we were directed directly to the Gangway. From stepping out of the taxi, dropping the bags, through security and documents check until stepping onto the ship I'd say it was less than 15 min. total. The check-in process is perfectly streamlined. Now, at other ports where they don't have their own terminal and visit regularily, the process might take a bit longer.
  11. Never mind any other bridge in the world, but in order to get to any of those ports (excluding ports in the baltic sea) she first will have to clear the Storebaelt bridge in oder to get from Turku on the Baltic sea to the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Storebaelt bridge has a clearing of 65m (213 ft). As I'm sure the designers took this into consideration, we can assume that the she will be able to pass under this bridge, possibly driven backwards, as this helps to lower the overall heights by a few feets as well. Verrazano has a clearance of 69.5 m (228 ft), so Icon should fit easily.
  12. The current rule for Wonder‘s TA cruise is having the test done 48h before the cruise. But what exactly is the cutoff time? Is is the assigned boarding time, so for our Sunday departure, we could do the test from 10:30AM on Friday, or is it departure time? That would move the earliest possible time to 6PM on Friday. Or do the consider full days. So anything on Friday would be fine?
  13. And milkshakes and malts at Johnny Rockets, yummy
  14. Crazy, I completely forgot that she hasn't been christened yet.
  15. I heard lots of good things about the original Effectors show! But I‘m a bit confused about the title of the new show that on Wonder. Wonder has been out for about 10 months now, why is that show still „in preview“? Was the original show ever titled like that? And what does it even mean? Is it just a short preview of what to expect from the finished show?
  16. Thats what I think as well. The only strange thing is that only about 2 or 3 weeks ago, someone I know was on Wonder and I had him specifically check the Escape Room, he said he was able to look inside but there was only an empty, bare room with a table inside. I would expect to have such things installed while they are homported in Florida, not while in Europe. The wording "This activity is held in the Escape Room" makes me think that they just use the bare room for jigsaw puzzels
  17. Will also be on the TA. Really hope it will be open, now that they post it in the daily programs.
  18. Someone in our group is celebrating his birthday during our TA cruise on Wonder of the Seas. I checked out the Celebrations page on RCLs website, where you can order room decorations, sweets etc. They have a nice looking birthday cakes. But looking at the order page, it seems they deliver all of those things on boarding day only. If we get him a cake, we would like to have it delivered on the actual day of his birthday. However, seeing that they have all those nice desserts on the menu anyways, I'm not even sure we would like to eat a cake instead. Also not sure, how good it actually might be. On his birthday, I booked Izumi Hibachi. If we let the restaurant manager know before that someone in our group is celebrating his birthday, do you think they might arrange something special, like just a slice of cake for him or something like that?
  19. I know the escape room was not ready when the ship came out earlier this year. In one video from the inaugral cruise, someone filmed the space and it was just an empty room. A couple of weeks ago, Morgan from the Very Unofficial Travel Guides was on board and I asked him to check it out as well. He also told me that it was still empty. While looking at the daily program for the current cruise, I noticed a recurring point called "The Royal Society of Puzzle" and there is even an official RCL website calling it the fleet's newest escape room. So I'm wondering if it finally is in place and open for guests? Anyone currently on Wonder who could check it out for me?
  20. How did the Muster Drill procedure work when boarding in Civittaveccia? Since nothing personalized is working in the app, I assume this also is true for registering the muster in the app?
  21. I think you're automatically assigned your membership number after the first cruise. At least that's how it worked for our friends who joined us on their first cruise 2 years ago. They all are Gold members now.
  22. Johnny Rockets and Sabor may be open for lunch on embarkation day, but they will be paid options (except if you have the unlimited dining package). I like the Solarium Bistro for embarkation day lunch, usually not very crowded and a nice choice from the buffet.
  23. Have been on 2 Halloween cruises before, once on Harmony in the caribbean. Lots of people in costume, lots of decorations, a dance party in the promenade, incl. balloon drop and a walk-through haunted house in Boleros. Lots of scary cakes and dessert in Windjammer, they all looked amazing. Then, in 2019 we were on Spectrum out of Shanghai. Seeing that 80% of passengers were locals which disappeared from the public areas after dinner (no idea where they went) and the rest was mostly Americans and lots of them in costumes. There were some decorations on the Esplanade, also themed cakes in the Windjammer and a fun halloween dance party and costume competition in 270°, incl. a cool animated Halloween-themed backdrop projection. On Oct. 30 we board Wonder of the Seas and look forward to the Halloween festivities as well and this time we will also bring costumes. I told my friend who join us that costumes are the mandatory dresscode on Oct. 31
  24. I like the discrete look of the Diamond pin and wear it on the lapel of my formal jacket, even when not cruising. It's not about bragging for me, just think it looks nice on the lape. We'll get D+ on our upcoming TA cruise and haven't seen the D+ pin until now (previous post). It looks pretty big and I don't think I would wear that one. Except maybe on a captain's uniform cap
