  1. I think chicken little got hit by the sky which in turn hit the chicken crossing the road. LOL
  2. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/visa-signature-card yes, would help with OBC for your four upcoming cruises. Check out the details. I use only this card for RCCL transactions and it is used for nothing else. @Ndfan89 it has a high interest rate. Pay it off every transaction or it will bite you in he RCCL butt.
  3. Haha! At first I thought you left out an "e", and meaning The Key, since that is such a popular topic on these boards. And then I thought about it, you really meant KY! LOL
  4. @Skid and @JLMoran Insuremytrip.com is what I use. I've seen so much discussion on here that I mistyped. I've made two claims. One was denied initially, they assigned me a claim rep as insuremytrip.com sells itravelinsured LX policies, amongst others, and that person pushed my claim through and received my check with 10 days of the reversal. Very pleased.
  5. @Paige What a great laundry Excursion! It's the extraordinary in the ordinary that make life grand! Unfortunately, we will not be staying in Haines. Perhaps they could send a tender for me on the way to Skagway! LOL! I, too, am a knitter and will have my eyeballs peeled for yarn shops.
  6. My biggest fear (equal to passports) is forgetting my son's EpiPens. He needs both doses (two EpiPens) if/when he get's stung by honey bees. Makes me nervous as hell. We've not air traveled since finding all this out, so has anyone had any issues traveling with EpiPens in your carry on? (Sorry, kinda hijacking my own thread).
  7. I've also forgotten a baseball cap for beach and ship days. Must say, my souvenir collection has grown over the years.
  8. Just a fun, but necessary question to get all of us thinking about packing for our next cruise(s): what was THAT thing that you forgot to pack? For me, it was my slippers. Can't stand going barefoot in the cabin or balcony. Had to dedicate a pair of socks to slipper duty. Needless to say, they were very very dirty on the bottom.
  9. Well, yes (I HAVE done my laundry on DCL). I, too, am a tad bit worried about giving my skivvies etc to a mere stranger and hoping I get MY skivvies etc back and in good shape. On DCL, we could do our own laundry at $2.50/load to wash, same to dry I think (versus $34? on RCCL for a small hotel room size bag - Ugh). When we were DCL cruisers, we would take 7 day cruises and could pack three days of clothes to mix, match, wash, rinse, and repeat all in carry on luggage. Not so with RCCL. Our upcoming Alaska southbound will test my limits of laundry as we are staying in Anchorage for 4 days prior to embarkation in Seward. Not to mention that it's just a lot more clothes to pack (layers). But! If our clothes aren't lost or damaged, I will be a happy gal. Who knew the laundry would be part of the adventure (an excursion perhaps)?
  10. The most romantic use of the $50: LAUNDRY! :-)
  11. It only takes "once" to remember. . . Or not.
  12. I wonder if a letter plus doc sent to your state's Attorney General and State Insurance Commission would help. Although the claim has been "satisfied" I would think they would be interested in all the extraordinary hoops and BS you had to go through just to get that claim satisfied. Agree with@ellcee. Perhaps they put all their claims through the gauntlet just to see who can survive what should seem like an easy walk down paperwork lane.
  13. This is exactly where I'm at. CK is looking good, but the unlimitedness of the UDP plus Izumi, is what is keeping me booked (@ $175/pp) for now.
  14. Last year, on our DCL cruise (worry no more, no mouse in the house, now), we took the Fury Catamaran snorkel and beach break excursion while in Cozumel. While on the beach excursion, I was sipping my margarita noticing how watered down it tasted, and how the ice cubes were melting at a pretty good rate. THEN. IT. HIT. ME! I was drinking the water! Yikes! Beer only from now on! Anyone else make this mistake?
  15. I will do exactly that after our July 19 Southbound Sailing. I'll try for menus, too. May not be too applicable after her refurb, but I'll get what I can.
  16. @twangster Whew! I'm glad that part of the saga is OVER! As @JLMoran noted, now comes part dieux! Waiting for "the check's in the mail!" Your perseverance saw you through. CONGRATS!
  17. When I have a claim with itravelinsured.com I am able to start the claim process over the phone with one of their agents, finish the paperwork, scan and email. If there is a problem, either the claims rep from itravelinsured.com calls or emails me tell me what is up and if I need to anything. The claim rep represents ME (and has always worked in my interest) when I've had to make a claim, two to date. I am very happy with them. Was considering Allianz just because I had heard nothing bad (notice, nothing.bad.), but they I contacted them they couldn't write me a policy when I needed one for a sail date 2 years away. Then @twangster's issues happened. That told me just to sit tight with my current company.
  18. Once I receive (next week, I'm in no hurry) and test the TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter/Receiver, Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter, I will report back. Thanks all for the good information.
  19. Yes, have that already. Preferring the wireless option to reduce wires everywhere. But, that is the backup plan.
  20. Who did you call? I'm going to jump on this now. Thanks for the info!
  21. You are clairvoyant! That's the one I ordered last night AND your application is what we will be doing. Love Prime. @twangster Yes, always trying to pair down the accessories. This is one way we are paring down. One less iPad/Chromebook. Loading my Prime movies and Prime books on the chromebook. Audible on the Note8.
  22. Hello everyone. A geeky technology question for you (hello @Matt and @twangster!) While not directly related to RCCL, my question has to do with me getting to my Royal Caribbean Alaska Southbound cruise this summer. I have a Lenovo Yoga Chromebook, and we are wanting to watch movies and do other things on it while we are high in the sky to Anchorage. I have a jack that I can plug into my Chromebook, but that is for two wired headphones. I am wondering if there is such a device that I can connect to my Chromebook and pair two sets of bluetooth headphones to the Chromebook. I can currently pair one set of bluetooth headphones to it. For example, we want to watch a movie and they are two of us that want to watch and hear it at the same time. Any suggestions? Of course, as we get closer to Anchorage we will not be using it (Hello, beautiful mountains!)
  23. HORN HORN HORN!
  24. Maybe talk to the shuttle to the car park, if you used that service.
