  1. Looks like Dubai is not only NOT cancelled, but now on sale (two nights for Sidney more than 7 nights for Dubai):
  2. We were also fortunate to grab that intern special. I have been wondering the same, that is, if the 18% gratuity is based on the $18/day "deal', it really is no deal for the bartenders and staff. Am I going to cancel and re-book at the prevailing rate, heck no! But, I will tip as I normally would (and not based on the "special").
  3. I insure all my cruises and insure them with CFAR. The kicker, usually, is that you must insure the cruise within 14 days of your first payment. Would never cruise without.
  4. Pretty good idea! Kinda like playing "who blinks first" with the possibilities. . .
  5. Hi @Smithee68 and welcome to the boards. This is a great community! The answer to your question will depend upon which ship your sailing. For example, on the Oasis class ships you can reserve entertainment before your cruise. However, say on a Radiance class ship you won't be reserving entertainment before your cruise but you can reserve various activities like the sushi-making class or a ship tour.
  6. Is cancel for any reason (CFAR) on trip insurance not available on these cruises? Is that just something that is offered on policies written in the US? Just curious.
  7. Perhaps they prefer rash guards which seem to be a bit more fitted than a loose t-shirt. Just speculating.
  8. We are staying around 7 miles from the BB&T. Husband and son are fishing the canals and Okeechobee for 2 days, so I suspect we will have already paid that daily fee. I'm guessing, though. Thinking we may turn in our rental after the final fishing trip and grab a taxi/uber to BB&T. I'm open for suggestions and thank you for your insight. I would not have realized there were toll roads.
  9. When we cruise, we like to be able to add in a major league sporting event at one end of the vacation. As luck would have it, it was the Blues who were in town! Woot! I was able to get Blues score twice, behind the goal, on the glass tickets for the same price as section 130, say around DD at the Enterprise Center. Clearly, hockey is not as big in FL as in the midwest. I still wear my Ryan Reeves Blues sweater when we play the Knights. I saw a couple in the store couple of weeks ago. (We live about 100 miles from the Enterprise Center). She had on her Blues sweater and he had on his Knights. I asked them, looking at him, Ryan Reeves? And they both said, YES! That was the entire conversation. ? 'nuf said! #LGB!! Am hoping that if we ever take a European cruise that we can get in some "football" while touring. Hoping for some MLS when we take our Alaska close jaw out of Vancouver in 2021.
  10. Okay, I had posted C&C Music Factory "Things that make you go Hmmmm" ? back from my college days. However, I didn't remember the video as such, so I deleted it, and have posted the very profound chorus, instead! ? Things that make you go hmmThings that make you go hmmThings that make you go hmmThings that make you go hmm, hmm, hmmThings that make you go hmm
  11. For my hockey friends, @RickinSTL,and Miami/Fort Lauderdale friends: We are headed to the Blues/Panthers game the night before embarkation in Miami. We are staying in Plantation, so we will be close to BB&T arena. Wondering if any of you would have advice as to the venue itself? Parking (we are renting a car while in Fort Lauderdale/Miami)? or Uber/Lyft/Taxi? Any other ideas or suggestions? Thank you and Let's Go BLUUUUEEEESSSSS!
  12. Interesting. I wonder why they bother with the distinction with Sky and Star class. We will be sailing Sky on Oasis in March. All three of us have expedited. Wonder why they bothered unless their app is as Ai deficient as their website.
  13. @KayCeeWelcome to the boards! You didn't mention when you booked your cruise, but you may still be in the window to transfer your sailing to a travel agent. They are worth their weight in platinum! As you probably already know, MEI travel is the sponsor of these boards. Sharla at MEI is our agent and she emails me when there is a price drop and and has repriced and rebooked our cruise several times. They are all wonderful agents. You can't go wrong.
  14. Hi @KathyC Did your husband get to walk through with you? We checked in via app and all three of us have expedited boarding passes. We were 84 days out when I checked us in.
  15. I know you would know this: How do I tell, prior to boarding, if family comedy is available? Or is that not possible? The offerings are identical in the cruise planner. Wait for the concierge to "reach out"?
  16. I've looked again at the descriptions and they are identical (although the pictures are different). The only difference seems to be the times. They all say 18 and over. I had thought that the Opal Theater and ComedyLive were two different venues, but it looks like it is one in the same. We will be staying Sky Class, so when the concierge gets in touch, I will ask them for further info and will then report back to this thread.
  17. Hmmmm. How can I tell? The description says for adults 18 years and older on both venues and all times. I'd love to be able to take our 15 year old to one of the offerings.
  18. Other than venue, is there any difference between these two shows on Oasis?
  19. Agreed. Just want to give them less of a reason to do so. ?
  20. It says no sunglasses in the actual picture taking. I had my regular glasses on. Will this work or should I remove those, as well?
  21. Ohhhhh! It's NOT taking a picture, it truly is scanning it! Figured it out and got it. There is some sort of scanning trajectory that kicks in when it start to scan.
  22. So it will then get the "We the People" page, plus the pic etc?
