  1. I have been flying SWA almost exclusively for 15 years now. It is the best choice CT to FL. I have no issues with boarding. In fact I find it almost no different than legacy airlines. The few times I flew Delta, everyone rushed the gate as soon as boarding was announced so you had to “excuse me, excuse me, excuse me” to the gate anyway. At least on Southwest you’re in some kind of order. I don’t stress about sitting close to the front, we all arrive together and I don’t make connections that are so tight that I have to be first off. I check bags for free so I don’t have to deal with the 50lb “carry ons” people insist on bringing on board. Picking up luggage takes 15 minutes. In 20 years of flying have only had a bag go missing once. As for seating? We usually head to the back third of the plane and if by some chance we had to sit apart, we’ve been married 43 years. I think we’ll survive 2-3 hour flight. Works for me.
  2. I’ve got……nothing!! 3 in the last year & hubby says time for a different vacation.
  3. Or just go on their own to the beach area. Last time we used the water park (Feb 2020) it was $24.99 each . Don’t think I’m seeing that again!
  4. Of a waterpark cabana? I am toying with taking all the grands next year with stops in Labadee & CocoCay. So that’s, at minimum, 5 waterpark passes. I’m thinking it might make sense to get a cabana instead. There will be 7-8 of us with 2 or 3 not interested in the waterpark. Are the cabanas actually in the waterpark meaning we’d all have to have passes or can I just go with the 6 passes that come with the cabana?
  5. Lobster night is only on US sailings. This is not new.
  6. On Harmony, it was performed on the Royal Promenade and Central Park.
  7. It’s very quick and convenient and they’ll take several pictures so you get one you almost like
  8. In CT, you can renew your license at a AAA office. Wonder if they do non-driver IDs too?
  9. Our first was also in 2002, 4 of us in a large window cabin on Nordic Empress! Talk about small!
  10. Good information Neesa. That configuration would definitely impact my decision. My DD always gets stuck with the pull out & I was thinking the extra bedroom might give her an actual bed. But if the Pullman’s are in there, that won’t be an option. Thanks.
  11. Looking at a Dec 2024 cruise. Might it not be done & back in service by then? and there will be 8 of us so the 2 br suite is very tempting. Might be too easy to toss a child overboard (or a husband!!). Can I ask where the 2 pullmans are located?
  12. I had 2 complaints about Explorer. First the tin can feel to the balcony in the hull and the lack of TVs for sports in the bars. The only one there was tiny and very crowded.
  13. Toying with the idea of taking the grands on a cruise (after the last cruise with brother & nephew I have to be insane!!). Nevertheless, I found a 6 day out of PC visiting Labadee, Jamaica and CocoCay. I really like the itinerary as there’s only one day not covered by the cruise package. I prefer to sail out of PC and the length is about right. Trouble is it’s on Adventure. We were on Explorer last year and I was not a fan, kind of a rust bucket. Can I get opinions? And do I bite the bullet because everything else works? Can they please move that itinerary to a better ship??
  14. Don’t think anyone here can give you a definitive answer. I assume you have his certified birth certificate. Does he have a school ID with his picture on it?
  15. Whoever the piano player was in Schooner on Harmony last month was awful! He could play piano, he could actually sing but not in the key he was playing!!! I mean really if you can’t hit the notes, change the key!!!! How do you not know that?!?!!
  16. With 23 Disney visits under my belt, I will say we afford it by knowing how to find the deals, just like savvy cruisers.
  17. We got a massive deal on it otherwise way out of my price range. But it was just heaven!
  18. A long time ago, I was told part of the price difference is because there is no gambling on Disney cruises. Maybe?
  19. Deck 8 on Harmony last month was a great JS location. Close to Park Cafe for a morning pre breakfast & we had a hump balcony so it was several feet bigger. Still get twice a day housekeeping service. I did miss being walked off the ship at disembark. Of course the previous Harmony cruise was in an Owners Suite so that was an adjustment . If I could ask for anything, maybe a little bigger bathroom. I mean I didn’t need the bidet but still the JR bathroom was kinda small.
  20. I have come to the realization that JS is the minimum requirement for me. I have stayed in/seen spacious balcony cabins and they are just too small. I know I won’t be happy in one. So if the price of a JS is too high, I will look for a different cruise.
  21. We found the no sugar added desserts to be some of the best.
  22. Does not have to be the original but must be a certified copy. My husband’s original is getting very fragile and I never use it for anything. I have a certified copy.
  23. Not many great options on Harmony. We tried aft & saw some and then snuck out on the fly bridges in front of the solarium (don’t rat me out) and they was pretty good but still not dark enough
