Then you are not wrong! Timing is everything at Windjammer along with patience.

Not a fan of generalizations, I have had the most perfectly cooked roast chicken in the Windjammer. I always make a point of looking for it. I could (and have) literally eaten nothing but a huge plate of it for dinner. I’m sure there are many other dishes served there that are equally delicious.

Thanks to all for your ideas. This was all much easier when it was just hubby me daughter & son all fitting in one car. But since my brother & nephew signed on, it’s become more complicated. I’m going to price out all you suggestions. ??

I’m not sure you have to “drink like a fish” to make the drink package worth it. I don’t drink in my everyday life but I enjoy drinking on a cruise. My sweet spot for a drink package is $50 plus 18% tip = $59 per day. Average drink price $12 = 5 drinks per day. I like to start the day with a little Baileys in my coffee or a mimosa (or 2), couple of drinks in afternoon poolside, glass of wine with dinner, couple drinks with evening entertainment. Plus I like specialty coffees, bottles of water, diet ginger ale where available. This more than covers the $59 per day. Would I drink like this at home? God no! But I enjoy it on vacation.

Yes that. If there are 3 of you, 3 qt bags can hold a lot of stuff! I’d get a whole bunch of the refillable 3 oz bottles & stuff those bags!

I like that idea!

Not sure I’d pay twice as much to park on site no matter how close I lived. My family calls me “creatively frugal”!

Thanks Matt, so far using a combination of shuttle service and 8 days at Lot of Honor or the like is still cheapest for our needs at approx $160 total.
-
Do you fly in? How do you get from the airport to the hotel?
-
Maybe but those frozen tails are not that good. I mean you can’t expect fresh Maine lobster and I will eat what they serve. But it’s not really the same.
-
Will check with my brother as he is a frequent renter through his job. Without a discount, daily rates for a vehicle big enough is $130+. But I will keep checking.
-
There will be 6 of us and my daughter’s car only seats 4. So R/T shuttle for 2 will be $80 plus 8 days parking for her car $80+ for a total of about $160. If anyone has a better suggestion, I’m all ears.
-
$17 a day versus $9. The cheapo in me can’t pay that. The difference pays for the shuttle 2 of us will need from our hotel by MCO to the port.

Thanks guys, I found it in my Cruise Planner currently $22.99. I will watch it for the next sale.

Our group will be on Harmony in March 2022 and the only specialty restaurant that piques our interest is Sabor. How does pricing work there? Is it a la carte, paying for what you order? Is there a flat fee and there is a set limit to your order? We will also have the UBP and I foresee several evenings spent sampling margaritas. Are appetizers and the fresh guacamole also a la carte?

Thanks all, dang cruise is 10 months away but the Uber planner in me needs something to obsess on!!!

We will be flying into Orlando, staying at the Marriot nearby. Daughter’s car only seats 4 so my son & nephew will take Cortrans shuttle & the rest of us will drive & meet them at the terminal. I found the veteran’s site a PP referred to - Lots of Honor. Hubby is a vet so I will look into that one. thanks all!

Do you have a name?

On site parking is quite expensive. Any recommendations for reliable off site parking?

Isn’t there a button to link a missing cruise using your confirmation number?

Wear your bulkiest outfit on the plane. I bring several brushed cotton swing dresses. They roll up to take up very little space, wrinkles fall out in a steamy bathroom, can be washed by hand and drip dry quickly. I pair them with both flip flops and nice flats for day or night and add a light sweater for evenings. -

When we took my grandson last year, there was a form to download on the RC site. Had to be filled out and signed by a parent and notarized. They asked for and reviewed it at check in. -
We are, or will be, on Harmony. Love me some margaritas and sangria!!

Oh that just sealed the deal! Thanks!!!
