  1. Any suggestions? I need something to plan!!!!
  2. My brother & nephew are in a JS. We are in an Owners Suite so, yes, I do have access to the concierge.
  3. I have MTD reservations for every night for the 6 of us (2 in a JS only). I would like to reserve CK for all of us for night 1. If the concierge can’t do that, I’ll get it for 4 and then try to add the other 2 on board. One night I am treating my son brother & nephew to Izumi so will probably do CK that night for hubby daughter & me. The rest will be a crap shoot.
  4. Thanks ConstantCruiser & WAAAYTOO, I’ve had the lobster tails and they are decent. Looks like it would make sense to just eat in the MDR that night. Follow up question, can we request a CK entree be sent to the MDR?
  5. Yes, a New Englander here too. Used to fresh cold water Maine lobsters.
  6. Can I ask about the butter poached lobster in CK? Trying to decide between MDR & CK on lobster night. Is one better than the other? Can you ask for more in CK?
  7. Ok you can’t leave me hanging. Where do I find insanely good crab cakes???
  8. Thank you but we are not cruising. Flying in for a few days for some baseball & sightseeing. I believe the light rail suggestion with suit us nicely.
  9. Last time we went (long time ago) the stands were pretty empty. Bought mid priced tickets & by the third inning, moved down to field level. Planning on buying the cheap seats this time & again moving around as we are able. this is a midweek series so maybe a better chance
  10. ?? Also want to see Poe’s grave!
  11. Nice!! I expect we’ll find plenty to do. Love the aquarium. Never been to the fort so that’s high on my list!
  12. Thank you both so much. Information is just what I was looking for. I think the light rail looks perfect. Appreciate your help. Best suggestions for activities?
  13. Sounds like a good option. Appreciate your help! I will be bugging you for suggestions! We’ll be there for 3 1/2 days & looking at 2-3 games!
  14. Can you give me a little point of reference for the light rail? I assume finding it at the airport will be relatively easy but where would it drop us off? Would it be walkable to the hotel?
  15. Totally not a cruise question but - Just booked a quick trip to Baltimore end of September for my birthday to watch the Red Sox in my favorite park, Camden Yards. We are flying in and staying at the Sheraton on S. Charles. It looks pretty close to both the harbor and the ballpark, is it? Is the area walkable? Don’t want to deal with a car so ability to walk everywhere is important and we love to walk. Also looking at suggestions to get from & to the airport. Is there a shuttle of some kind? Short trip so only a couple of carry ons to schlep. I know this is OT but I’d appreciate any insight or advice. Thanks!!
  16. Don’t think anyone is saying he is WRONG to be upset, I think we’d all be upset. But in the grand scheme of the last 15 months, a cruise is a cruise is a cruise is a cruise. No doubt in the “normal” world this would be an outrageous itinerary change but we still aren’t back to whatever normal is. Perspective is everything.
  17. Not sure buying points is the best use of funds. You spent $105 to get about $60 worth of flight fare. A gift card would have cost the same but given you the full amount toward a flight. For example, a $79 flight equals 4986 points. You paid $105 for 3500. Yes you got 5000 bonus points but so did I and I could have bought that $79 flight with money left over and I can use mine to pay for the taxes that points don’t cover on flights for which I DO use points.
  18. I converted all my outstanding travel funds to reward points when they made that offer last year. It was a very generous amount of points.
  19. SWA is offering 50 points per dollar on SWA purchases up to $100. If you know you are gonna book a flight, TODAY is the day to do it. One day only offer. I don’t have any flights to book currently but gift cards are included so I bought a $100 GC on both mine and my husband’s card. Gives us $200 in available travel funds PLUS 10,000 reward points.
  20. I believe MSC is providing transportation home and Royal will too.
  21. Just remember with regard to dining purchases, the old format included gratuities right from the start, the new format doesn’t add it til it’s in your cart. At first glance dining prices look better but. As with all RCCL prices, it’s just an illusion!!
  22. I have truly missed your posts! I am still a relative newbie here but always enjoy reading your opinions. Hope the move went well and you are settled in. Regards Pooch (Gail)
  23. Nope, island is owned by RCCL. Only their protocols count.
