  1. Day 7 a perfect day. We had to get up early to take our B2B test, how it went I already wrote yesterday so let's just say that I am still waiting until now to get the email with the results. It was our first visit to perfect day , strange but none of the cruises before brought us to this Island so we were excited to check it out. The first thing we done was the Jet Ski experience ,it was so much fun as the tour takes you near some Islands and most of it was done in high speed. We got to see many starfishs , both of us enjoyed it so much so we consider to take it also next week. After the tour we went to eat some taco's , nothing special but did the work. As it was very warm and humid day we decided to go to the Oasis lagoon which was quite full but still enough space . We took some drinks from the wet bar , dancing to the music (at least one of us) and swim around. The other parts of the Island was not so as crowd and the water park was almost empty. By the way Coco Cay is also the only place the crew can get off and if they do not have assignment on the ship or in the Island they can enjoy it. Around 2 PM we headed back to the ship , you can see here how hot it was and how one crew member repurpose the servicetray to fight it. See you next time
  2. Day 6 and maybe 7 I am getting lazy so I will combine two days in one post. By the way about lazy , what about lazy river in CocoCay , maybe something that will start from the peer and will side by side with the route ? Day 6 was another sea day , lots of ship activities to choose from but we mainly were busy catching some sun (my spouse) and resting in the shade update the blog (guess who). Breakfast was at CK , I took the Mediterranean plate (including the so call Humos which is not really a morning thing , but I am sure it's the right time somewhere in the world Added to that some french toast, we asked for some vegetables but beside tomato they did not had anything. We took advantage of the suite deck again , this time it was very busy as another couple was using it. We were also the only ones who used the bar service. Again we went to enjoy some music , contributing to RCI revenue stream (or in other words playing in the casino and mainly were busy avoiding the stokers (aka Park West) who called me every few hours to remind me I have free money to use). Lunch was in the WJ (no reservations are needeed although they recommend to do). Surprise Surprise the had lobster tails
  3. Just came back from a ship night tour. The team is preparing the ship for you and started with the turn around clean ups. It's ready !
  4. Just one more night , it's really happening, the cruise and stars are just around the corner
  5. Morning/lunch/dinner , only for the evening you need to make reservations. Night 1 filet mignon is a must
  6. The loft is amazing , two bathrooms cut allot of time in the evening/morning get ready. It's also close by to everything.
  7. Has for B2B people RCL wants you to have a PCR test between cruises and organize it to be on the last day, that's make much logic however they do not want to let you to CocoCay until you get the results. In other words only if you are tested you are at risk , not sure I understand the logic behind it . Maybe they gave someone from the IT department to come up with that policy. Anyway we secheduled the testing to be at 7:40 am so we will have enough time before they let people go to the Island ( they promised 1 hour results) testing was quick without any queues or any expedition trying to find treasures in our brains. We went back to the room and catch some WJ breakfast. Back to the room waiting for the results (8:40) no results , 9 am nothing 9:30 nothing I can already start to hear Something g CoCay song . Decided to go down there and ask , they checked and told me it's ready , it's negative and we are ok/ clear to go) 9:45 went down to the gangway and when scanning the card they told us we need to wait for the results. Now I could continue and argue and meet at the end the only officer that speaks my original language but thought better to skip it. Went again to the testing location , they checked again and told me all OK and sent one of the officer to escort us out . That time it worked. First time for us on Coco Cay
  8. We have a winner , yes the testing between cruise more about this thrilled activity to come.
  9. Interesting for shows in the Studio B (have not checked the royal theater) which are designated for vaccinated guest mask are optional. Two first lines are blocked bit not other social distancing.
  10. So we just had a meeting with Sunil , he is very nice , we went over the dinner reservations and some other activities. I asked about luggage valet and he told me they never did it for port Miami due to the port terminal requirements. @Tiffeven he sends you warm regards and will try to call again tomorrow.
  11. Currently in CK for Lobster night fighting what is better CK ot MDR . The food is better here (not that much but better) the ambiance is better in the MDR , more personal service. I vote today for the CK ,hope they will do good job otherwise I will hear too many "I told you so"
  12. You might know him .... Sunil , he already sent a draft for our restaurant and we need to meet him to discuss. But don't worry we are low maintenance and will not do any genie hogging (as long as you promise not to throw anything on is from that balcony. I think we need one more RCB member to take the 10th floor so we will have full house . Two more days to go. have happy and safe journey.
  13. I am not an health expert but to eliminate from people to blow C19 to the air you need or to force them to use mask (maybe one of the reasons for no mask is smoking ...) Or to ask stop breathing. I think the main issue with Casino smoking (beside of course all the issue with smoking itself) it's the fact that it bring many non players that want to smoke.
  14. Day 5 Costa Maya. Another quick breakfast in WJ and coffee in CK. Again arriving to Mexico we can't leave the port area but Costa Maya is one of the nicest ports with many things to do even without the need to leave. Since we didn't had special plan we decided to use the empty solarium for ourselves. When I mean empty I mean that beside us and the bar team no one else. We used the jacuzzi , it was hard to decide which one but eventually we entered the one near the bar so we can use the bar service if needed (mimosa anyone ?). While enjoying the third dipping in the jacuzzi we suddenly felt interruption in the force and from the horizon we saw this old looking ship arriving to block our sea view. Soon enough the captain order on ramming speed , but something or someone stopped him after finding some RCB life sign there. Since our view was taken we got back to the cabin to get organized to tour the port village. The port includes many shopping option , some resturants and bars and several swimming pools with bars. We spent an hour or so over there (buying Kraken rum for a 25$ ) and headed back to the ship for a WJ late lunch. this was the first time we so WJ busy but still no issue to get a table. We went out to the pool deck and saw Odyssey showing off After catching some sun we went back to the cabin for a nap. At the cabin we got a nice surprise from the MDR , it was very tasty Finally got some important email back from RCL regarding my question if a PDF is good for the vaccination card , the answer was directing me again to the Q&A page . Wonderful answer , just small problem of getting it after 7 weeks while already on the ship ... Tonight the MDR team won the competition and we went to eat over there Chicken parmesan (very good ) Wild mushrooms risotto (excellent) As we ordered wine (from the diamond drinks) the waiter also brought us a cheese plate , nice touch. The dessert was not that good , maybe we were too full. Next we went to check the Casino which was busy but not too crowded. About the diamond drinks , it working very well everywhere, there wasn't one place they did not know what to do with it including the MDR and any bars/CK.
  15. Two days before the second part of the cruise no words yet from any genie. Yesterday I have asked the concierge to send him a message (I gave him the future cabin number) still nothing. Starting to be suspicious here :-).
  16. Good info , thanks , on this side of the cruise we did not went yet any show , reserving something for next week , beside the ice that is a must
  17. Day4 continue. We had a planned shore excursion in Tabayana beach which included the beach entry, buffet lunch and snorkel tour. It took us something like 20 minutes to arrive the beach. Once arrived some people signed for the tour and took the equipment and some just went to the beach (like us) In the beach you can choose to seat under the sun near the sea or in the shade under the trees we took something in the middle. Near the sea behind a yellow ribbon you have many local sellers who are trying to offer you bracelets , shells, wood craft, drinks, massage, shirts and other things, they are not allowed to enter and you have security guards to force the policy. Although loud they were not too pushy . Overall it feels very safe. We went to sweem in the nice clean water which were on the cold side. You can see many fish around you and it's very culm waters. The beach was very clean (including very clean bathrooms) with nice facilities. They had some bar services (extra money unless you wanted water/ lemonade). I liked the tree shower The local "cats" And interesting trees We went to eat at the buffet which included tasty rice and beans, grill/bbq chicken , salad, hamburgers and hot dogs. We enjoyed the food although it was not fancy. After lunch you can choose which time you want to had back to the ship , from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. We stayed for a while and headed back to the ship. After coming back to the port we took some fresh coconuts to drink and eat and re board the ship for a much needed nap. Has I explained before it's seems there is some competition between the MDR and CK , each , were sending their representative to make sure we will choose to eat in their facilities. At the end and since we were still quite full we decided to take the third option and went to Sorento for antipasti and Pizza
  18. Day 4 Rotan , Honduras. Morning Today is our first real port day as we can go down and tour the Island, I like Rotan for it's clear water sandy beaches and the jungle like view. We did the right thing and went to eat breakfast in the CK , service was quick and good , was was not bad but did not feel an upgrade comparing to the WJ , maybe it's because we eat very early in the WJ so everything is fresh. We had an almond croissant and eggs Benedict. We did ask for some vegetables we got some tomatoes , somehow vegetables in the morning looks strange in this part of the world. More to come
