  1. Hi all, I have a sale in cruise planner for deluxe drink package which we've already purchased at a prior sale and used our OBC towards it. The new sale is about $27.00 less than what we spent. If I cancel the current booking will the OBC go back to my account so I can use it again, or is $27.00 not worth the hassle or making sure it does? Thank you!
  2. What do you do with your things if for instance both of you are snorkeling? Or just go one at a time? I've had stuff stolen on a local beach here I imagine it's tempting elsewhere.
  3. So if we bring our own wine, open it ourselves we are not charged any corkage if it (the bottle) stays in our cabin)?
  4. We'll wave!! LOL, hey you will be on a brand new ship!!
  5. We're on the same cruise!!!!! It's our 25th wedding anniversary!! Booked Grand Suite as I"m a cruise snob as my friend @Sabrinaklai says and it's our anniversary. Still very reasonable considering. Well, as time gets closer we have to chat. Looking forward to meeting you!!
  6. You must be on the same one I'm going on in 2019! You have to update when you get back!l
  7. See! I'm good for something here @twangster I have to tell you, I am so excited, I booked the NE/Canada, we've had our eyes on it and the dates didn't work, the 9 nights didn't work but this worked! I am here to please sir!!!
  8. It must be the teaching thing, we had to get married in the summer! LOL July 23rd, 1994
  9. GREAT!! @KLAconQueso I'm looking forward to hearing back. and thanks so much!! @twangster
  10. well isn't this perfect as our anniversary is July 2019!! LOL. I think I'm going to do for it! OUr April Equinox trip was supposed to be our anniversary sailing but I got to thinking, I don't want to be in Rehoboth Beach in for our special anniversary and we've been dying to do NewEngland/Canada (it's only 6 nights and we're missing Boston, but it's perfect!)
  11. Hi there, I found an itinerary on the Adventure of the Seas (new England) that is perfect for us as it sails during our 25th anniversary. Has anyone been on it, what is it like ( I know it's older, I know it's not Oasis) but is it still nice. the price is right too so i'm hoping to book it today or tomorrow. Thank you for any input!
  12. Well doesn't this stink! I"m not as up on some of the others here, but I would guess they will compensate you for the 2 days and only due 7 now. they need to keep on the schedule. I could be wrong though. I would wait till today at 12:30 though. I'm sailing on her in May so I know how this is a disappointment to you. It happens though.
  13. I love the horn!!! Makes me think of those old cruising days and the new ones coming!!! LOL
  14. I think it also boils down to comfort level. @tiny260 love and are comfortable with Royal, your friends love are comfortable with Carnival. Both past cruises (and your first I guess) paved the way to not want to change. I too have friends who won't sail in USA/Caribbean, they only do Viking River (no it's not apples to apples) but that's what they've been doing for years. So like you, our great friends will probably never sail with us.
  15. Entice her with the beautiful itinerary of the Southern Caribbean, show pictures, leave them around the house, join shipmate so every time you get a notification it's the ships bell, make your homepage a picture of the ship, you get the idea!
  16. As a Director of Underwriting for Life Insurance, I can attest people often don't consider it till they are not eligible for the best rates, or uninsurable. I agree Matt, I think I am older than most on this board and I'm willing to pay for the insurance at this point.
  17. Room on my cruise card?? LOL! If I even think about another booking, divorce city!! I for one would love to cruise with you and @twangster
  18. Matt, I was looking at it and it's very hard to understand. For instance $2000 per year to recover, on the odd time you have 2 bookings (like @twangster) almost back to back and within final payment, seems like you really don't get much for 2 cruises. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. No need to get into details (this was after all a VOOM discussion! LOL), but confirm I'm reading it right if you can. Thanks so much Matt!
  19. @twangster. where can you get annual insurance plan? I have 7 cruises booked from May 2018 through April 2020. the cancellation insurance alone is nuts! any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  20. Lower Slower Delaware, great place to retire to unless you get a blizzard in Rehoboth and a foot of snow and 7 degrees, but this is unusual! No State Tax either, very low property tax. Drive to NY 4 hours, or Baltimore 2 hours, fabulous beaches, restaurants, and parks! PhL, BWI airports 2 hours away too!
  21. Drive safe and let us know how fabulous this upgrade is!!!
  22. Whew, I'm very happy for you!! That's crazy!!
  23. What's the date you are leaving? I'm curious about the pricing as I just got an email with very inexpensive pricing for January.
