Welcome! I had a friend who flew to Italy for a vacation about the same time as you're going and he reported it was definitely quite warm there. I'd be more surprised if it was too cold to swim than if it's warm enough. You've booked a great cruise, should be a very fun time!

If you can drive to your cruise, I'd probably drive the day of the cruise too.

Well we know Quantum of the Seas wont go so perhaps Anthem of the Seas or the third Quantum ship. Given both of those ships are on the wrong side of the Panama canal, not too sure. Voyager of the Seas is already in Asia/Australia but it's doing so well over there that I can't see them moving her to Alaska.

Nature of Wikipedia (for better or worse) is that anyone can edit it. I suspect someone was merely guessing.

I saw that too. Not sure those names are accurate since the names aren't referenced anywhere else.

Actually I feel they call it a holiday cruise because it happens to go over a big holiday. There will certainly be some onboard celebrations, specifically Christmas decorations and maybe some other Christmas related events. Which ship did you book?

I understand. The best Schooner Bar I've seen was on Jewel of the Seas. It was massive compared to the size of Schooner Bars on Freedom of the Seas or Oasis of the Seas.

Can you elaborate? Is it like the Schooner Bar layout on Radiance class?

I really think San Juan is a pretty city at night and there's lots going on. An overnight stay means there will be plenty of time to explore.

Actually for the Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise, we're now staying overnight in San Juan, so an extra day (and night) there. I definitely wish we were still going to Samana but I'm okay with overnight in San Juan since it's always cool to be able to cruise somewhere and stay overnight in a port. I've never been to Samana but from what I understand the history of crime there may have contributed to Royal Caribbean's decision. Hope someday they can come back.
