  2. Let's be fair. Not only is 18 an adult on land in pretty much every sense of the word, plenty of 20 and 30 year olds (and older) enjoy pizza and DJ music. If you want to debate maturity, fine, but I think it's incorrect to assume no one above the age of 30 has any interest in those things (with the exception of your brother).
  3. I wouldn't expect any change as it relates to cruise ships.
  4. Welcome to the message boards! I'd contact your travel agent to see the cost to move from a guarantee to specific room.
  5. Welcome to the message boards. Unfortunately, crew members (even senior officers) will say things like this and it's more conjecture/opinion/rumors than stated facts. Within the industry, there's a lot of chatter about what any line may do. Bottom line, no ships have been sold and right now the market for buying ships is still pretty slim. Take what they said with a grain of salt and not as confirmation of anything.
  6. In seeing all the marketing for Hideaway, I think they're going for a Las Vegas pool party vibe instead of a continuation of the Solarium on land. If that's to attract the Virgin Voyages audience, as some suggest, I think that may be part of the attraction. Right now, it's really hard to judge based on concept art and marketing jargon. Oasis Lagoon started out much tamer than it became when that area opened.
  7. Welcome to the message boards! Worst case scenario a few days before the cruise the Royal Caribbean app will have it listed
  8. Welcome to the message boards! Your assumption is correct, the ships sail at very slow speeds between Nassau and CocoCay. They won't dock early, just take their sweet time getting there.
  9. Same thing for my Allure cruise in Feb. I think it's a mistake, but not sure
  10. Probably not, but in my opinion, I also don't expect there to be any change in testing requirements either.
  11. Royal always has variable pricing for almost all of its add-ons. The price of a cabana, coco beach club access, drink package and more all vary from ship to ship and sailing to sailing.
  12. No. What you're referring to that a TA has is group space. Group space is only held by agencies. Think of NextCruise as like booking on the RC website.
  13. That was my reaction too, but I also had to think “is the star class I paid for a cruise booked during shutdown?” Because those prices were anomalies. My first Star Class in Aquatheater suite was $13k, but that was booked while they were shutdown so it was a crazy good price. I certainly don’t expect that price today. Suffice to say, star class booked since mid 2022 have all been much higher.
  14. I know during initial restart they removed this, but haven’t checked if they added it back.
  15. It is definitely disturbing where the pricing is for Icon in 2025 and 2026. I priced out for fun what is probably my kids' Spring Break in 2026 and for 2 adjacent balcony rooms, it's $12,823. That's the kind of cost I'd expect to pay for a suite. As so many others pointed out, someone's paying those prices and I have no doubt this is an effort by the line to push the boundaries. Up until today, Icon hasn't just been selling well. It's been selling at record levels at every step of the way. So I get why they're trying to see what the market will bear. What I'm truly interested in seeing is what the rest of the 2025/2026 deployment looks like. I have no doubt it will be at higher prices than last year, but are we talking 10% higher or significantly more. It's one thing to pay a premium to go on Icon, it's another to go on Independence. I'm simply surprised at how high the prices are out of the gate for a ship that will be up to 2 years old, and will have 1 or 2 newer sibling ships in operation by this point too.
  16. The nursery is a babysitting service. Parents arent allowed in the nursery during operating hours. Drop kids off and pick them up later.
  17. Is Allure of the Seas the "worst" Oasis Class ship? I went onboard to see for myself
  18. Here's Allure's deck plans: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/allure-of-the-seas/deck-plans/2220/03
  19. Yes, you can do it and yes you should make one! Case in point, I have Clear and the line for Clear was much longer than the line for the reserved spot. Not to mention the reserved line is FREE! We actually did it on the spot and got in, but I think they changed it so you need to make a reservation further in advance. Anywho, yes, do it and it will save you time!
  20. Welcome to the message boards! You'll find navigating the ship easier than you think. The layout is such that areas are well marked and there is good signage to give you an idea of what to expect. Almost all decks, yes. Some decks aren't contiguous in that manner, but nearly all of them are. Again, in almost all cases, yes.
