Michael Vitale Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 This new water slide looks totally cool, and they're saying there will be 3 slides. But here's my question about the Liberty renovation. She will replace Navigator in November, and presumably they'll get in all the holiday festivities before they do the re-do in January. Will it be done in her new home port, Galveston, or will they sail her to some other facility, and how long do you think she'll be unavailable ? Just curious. Quote
sulross Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 It will probably be done in the Bahamas, that is where the nearest dry dock is. That was where the Navigator went Jan 2014. It will sail for two months out of Galveston then dry dock for January of 2016 and then back to Galveston with all the new bells and whistles. :P Quote
Forsyth71 Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 I have ridden a similar ride in Bali and it was awesome. Really wish RCCL would bring a ship with slides down under! Quote
Michael Vitale Posted August 5, 2015 Author Report Posted August 5, 2015 Interesting, so there will be no cruises on RC out of Galveston for the period of dry dock, or will they replace her temporarily ? Quote

sulross Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 There will be no cruises out of Galveston on RCCL from 1/10/16 to 2/7/16. Quote

DocLC Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 My guess is no cruises from Galveston in January. Except for my cruise on 1/3/16 pre drydock. Quote
Mason Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 I have ridden a similar ride in Bali and it was awesome. Really wish RCCL would bring a ship with slides down under! At Waterbom Park? Me too! It's gonna be freaky doing it on a ship, but still fun! :) Quote
Forsyth71 Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 Mason, yes Waterbom. Bali for so long was or holiday of choice. Until we found cruising. Will be really popular I'm sure but will be daunting on a rolling sea. Quote
