Vincent Posted November 11, 2024 Report Posted November 11, 2024 Looking to reserve parking at Galveston for upcoming cruise and only a few options available, one of them being the "Pier 12" Lot. Has anyone used or recommend this lot? My only other choices are the South lot or Pier 14 Lot. Quote
Zenra Posted November 11, 2024 Report Posted November 11, 2024 I've not tried Pier 12 or 14 as usually we get into the North lot (aside from the one time we used "Park 2 Cruise" which the lot that's just south of the South Lot, not on the PoG site.) Pier 12 has always looked to me like it wasn't meant for parking honestly, it's just a weird spot to me given the flow of traffic there. If the concern is walk time then it's not bad from either location. If you go South Lot (which I think is cheaper than Pier 12 or 14) it's maybe a 6 minute walk? That's just my experience with the port though. Maybe someone else has specific insight on 12. Quote
Southern Waters Posted November 11, 2024 Report Posted November 11, 2024 This may be more than you want/need, but it's a great thread with lots of info although it hasn't been updated in several months. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/568-all-things-galveston/#comment-5576 Quote
billdauterive Posted November 11, 2024 Report Posted November 11, 2024 Pier 10 and 12 are new to me and a appear to be small new additions, but I park at Pier 14 all the time. Shuttles are plentiful and it's very easy to get in and out, especially if you don't have any luggage to check. It's also less than 1/2 mile walk to the terminal if the weather is nice and you're physically able. Quote
SimGuy Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 If you like your vehicle, try North Lot Covered. It’s also the closest to the Royal terminal. Quote
Cakemeister Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 There is plenty of off-terminal parking, with shuttles. Look on the first page of the All Things Galveston thread. I personally use Port Parking. You might spend the same or a few dollars less per day. Quote
