Icon OTS March 22 - 29, 2025 ??

I upgraded our reservation to a Junior Suite Guarantee yesterday. My cruise vacation receipt from Royal indicates "Stateroom Obstructed Pending". Has anyone had one of these on the Icon yet? Just wondering how bad the obstruction is, like only being able to see a life boat? Thanks!

Because it's a JS Guarantee, I'm thinking that it means you have a chance to be assigned one of the Sky JS on Icon and some of those are obstructed. That's my guess.

A Sky JS would be a nice surprise! What kind of obstruction do they have?

If you look at the pics of Icon from the side view, it’s from the Aquadome.

@rjachere are some pictures of an obstructed icon JS balcony as well as the side view that @Lovetocruise2002 was referencing.

You are most welcome @rjacmy now friend! Also, please make sure to take advantage the Sky Class perks included with your guaranteed booking moving to Sky class! When not sailing in Star Class , I only book suite guarantees myself, and while I do find it disappointing that there is now possibility of an obstructed balcony in a suite category stateroom I do think the additional benefits offset that small inconvenience.

   We actually stayed in that room in February. Sky Junior 17006.. When we booked a year earlier and  it wasn’t listed as obstructed. They sent an email at the last minute telling us this… We complained to exec office and received $200 in OBC. Once onboard we ended up loving the room. It didn’t block the view much. We had a couple of rainy days at sea and really enjoyed sitting out under the “dome” with a few drinks.. Would book it again in a heartbeat. (if we could afford it now…) Good luck on your guarantee!
