From their message, they are suspending operations from Jun 1 - Aug 31. I appreciate the recommendation of the beach clubs in the area of the 40 Cañones Hotel. Any recommendations? billdauterive Posted April 8 Report Share Posted April 8 Yep, Maya Chan is always closed in the summer for hurricane season (and to give themselves and staff a break). Personally I always liked Almaplena as well. I haven't been there since covid though so I can't speak to how it's been recently. It's smaller than Maya Chan and less to do, but has a more isolated feel.
