Maya Chan 2024 Seasonal Storm Season Pause (Jun 1 - Aug 31)

I messaged Maya Chan for info into booking in July for my birthday after hearing a lot of great info about this in the pods. From their message, they are suspending operations from Jun 1 - Aug 31. I appreciate the recommendation of the beach clubs in the area of the 40 Cañones Hotel. Any recommendations?

Yep, Maya Chan is always closed in the summer for hurricane season (and to give themselves and staff a break).

Personally I always liked Almaplena as well.  I haven't been there since covid though so I can't speak to how it's been recently.  It's smaller than Maya Chan and less to do, but has a more isolated feel.  The last time I was there only 2 other people were there that weren't part of our party of 4.
