SoCalYeags
We will be doing our first Western Caribbean itinerary and have Cozumel and Roatan dialed in with excursions but are on the fence for Costa Maya. None of the excursions are really jumping out at us, but we have seen videos of the port and are considering just a lazy port day as it seems like there is a decent amount to do there. Looking at cruise mapper we will be the only ship in port (as of now) and are hoping that may benefit us even though we are on Wonder and there will be a lot of people regardless. Any recommendations inside the port? Thanks!
ChessE4
If you haven't seen Mayan pyramids, try a Chacchoben tour. The port area has gift shops, etc. If you exit the port you can take a taxi or "tractor" to Mahahual, walk through town, eat, and shop. The port area is somewhat tacky and maze-like, but many love it-- there is a bar with a pool. TexanTwoStep

Lucky
Do you like waterparks? If so, I'd highly recommend Lost Mayan Kingdom.
JeffJaje
If you go through the port you can take a taxi to Mahahual, and there are a ton of beach clubs allowing for a chill day. Some ideas are: Maya Chan Beach Krazy Lobster Jaimes at the Blue Reef Yaya beach club Pitaya Beach Club Pez Quaro Malecon
