We've recently taken delivery of Icon of the Seas after 5 years of ideation to creation. Along the way, the ship that gets delivered can look slightly different from the blueprints drafted years ago - even more so when it's the first ship in a class. After conducting our final thorough review of our newest ship, we found that select Sky Junior Suiteshave a slightly obstructed view due to the placement of our newest and most innovative entertainment venue - the Aquadome. The time and effort you took to plan your cruise is important to us, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Nonetheless, we're confident that all there is to do and see onboard Icon of the Seas will more than make it up to you! If this accommodation no longer meets your travel needs, please feel free to reach out to your partner or directly to us at: (resolution/redeployment contact info…) Interesting thing is that I have been comparing the room #17006 and deck plans to the new close up videos that have been circulating and was wondering if this was truly the case. It appears to be so. Cabin with the diagonal 50/50 split in center of photo below is it. Not sure if I agree with “slightly obstructed”, but that is what they are calling it. Pretty disappointed as we generally spend a few hours a day on the balcony enjoying the ocean views. I did contact the number provided and spoke with the representative. We were given options to move to a same category room (none available) or cancel for refund. Don’t guess we’ll cancel over that, but just thought we’d share with the group. I am guessing there are some unhappy guests on the inaugural that brought this up. GaryAA Posted January 30 Report Share Posted January 30 I got that email today also. Our obstruction was the window washing apparatus. I’ve already sent an email to my TA to move our cabin.
