KaChow
We are stopping in Cozumel and plan to do the Chichen Itza 9 hour excursion. My son has a life threatening nut allergy so we will not be purchasing food in Mexico. Can we bring a cooler backpack of pre-packaged food with a medical letter? Ryan79
If the food is factory sealed, it won’t be an issue.
Fuzzywuzzy
Nobody really cares what you are taking off the ship, what you are bringing aboard is the concern.

Not true in Mexico. They have food sniffing dogs. But, the prepackaged food avenue still works here. Just no loose food like fruit or a sandwich you made in the WJ

But yes, I have been approached by the local customs officials several times in Mexico as we were disembarking and asking us specifically if we were caring any fruit or meats.
