daveinhutton
We are on back to back cruises on Rhapsody that mean we will be in Miami for just one day. Will we have time to go ashore and do something useful with the time bearing in mind others will be disembarking /embarking? If so, does anyone have any suggestions as to what we could do for a few hours? We are Brits - will we need visas to go ashore? Thanks, Dave
Matt
I'd advise you to book an excursion. You should see options through the first sailing for post-cruise tours.

Thanks, Dave Visas are not required Do British citizens need a visa to travel to the US? No, British citizens do not need a visa to travel to the US. Under the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP), British citizens can travel to America without a visa for up to 90 days. However, you need to have a valid Electronic System Travel Authorization (ESTA) and a valid e- passport, prior to boarding any sea or air carrier to USA. daveinhutton
Looks like it will be 21$ each with ESTA just to go ashore for a few hours.
recogneyes
You could take an Uber to Bayside Marketplace. Nice spot to walk around as it's on the water - you can see the cruiseships. We booked a tour with Island Queen Cruises which leaves right from Bayside. You take a tour all around the port of miami and Fisher Island and hear some stories about the houses on the island. The Millionaire's Row Tour is about 1.5 hours. Margarittaville has a nice patio to come back and enjoy lunch at before heading to the ship
