Guaranteed Suites

I've booked a guaranteed suite for March 2023.  At the time of booking, the options for suites were either a guaranteed suite or 1-bedroom grand suite (only 5 to choose).  Does this mean that they are holding back junior suites and other suites specifically for guaranteed?  Or do they only hold back junior suites?  The guaranteed suite was cheaper than the spacious oceanview, so I'm still ahead either way unless there are "bad" junior suite locations on the ship.

Depends on your ship and sailing date. They hold back a lot of rooms in a sense. TAs, sites like Expedia, Costco and other cruise sites have blocks of rooms to sell. If they don't sale, they go back into inventory. So, the fact that only 1br GS are showing is not a pure indicator. With a suite GTY you will at least get a JS, which can be in any area and possibly a less than desirable one to certain pax.
