Refund -- Cabana at Cococay

The canceled sailing should trigger an automatic cancelation of all Cruise Planner purchases. It just may take longer to refund than if you would have canceled the purchase yourself.

This is a feel good story and a positive story about Royal's Landside Operations, for a change.

We canceled a November cruise about 2 weeks ago.  Being very skeptical about Landside and their uncanny ability to screw things up, we decided to cancel the excursions that we had booked first.  We did, we got cancellation notices/receipts immediately and we got over $500.00 credited back to our C.C. within a few days.  When we got the >$500.00 credit back on our C.C., we went ahead and canceled the cruise, it was a refundable ticket, so we got all of it back, it was the original $500.00 deposit that we put on one of our C.Cs.  And $800.00 we put on a Gift Card we got as a rebate for changing over from Electric AC/Furnace to Gas.  It was unexpected.  We usually don't pay any more than the required deposit until the 90 day out drop dead date.  But, this was unexpected so we put it towards the cost of the cruise.  Well, to my surprise and complete satisfaction, after being told that it could take up to 45 days for refunds to post, we got it all back in their proper places in about 3 or 4 days.
