I have a few questions about booking a cruise while onboard to take advantage of the onboard credit. 1. Can I book for someone else (family member) who isn't on the current sailing with us? We're booked for a 2018 sailing on Oasis and my parents would like to join us. 2. Can we take advantage of the onboard credit immediately or is for the future sailing we book? monorailmedic Posted January 6, 2017 Report Share Posted January 6, 2017 If you're booking a Royal Caribbean cruise for a sail date that is not within final payment you have the option of using the 'bonus' OBC on your current sailing or on your future sailing. You're allowed to book sailings for others (there is a restriction on the number of bookings you can make for others, I forget though). It's quite easy as you really just need their name - they ask other things (like DOB) but that can be filled in later. Note you can do the same for Celebrity sailings while on RCI, but you have to use the OBC on the future sailing in that particular case. Depends on the length of cruise and which stateroom you are booking.
