Covid test for Canadians flying back same day

I’m hoping someone can help, given the numerous changes in rules for tests coming back to Canada.  We are on Symphony for the March 12th cruise, and have a flight booked back to Canada on the 19th, on disembarkment day.  The Canadian govt website says you need a Covid test the day before traveling home.  Is this correct, and  if so, will the ship have a place that I can pay for a test onboard?

Testing for re-entry into Canada is 72 hours before your flight.

Before, there was complimentary testing onboard for those who needed it, but that has been discontinued. Now, there is paid testing outside the terminal by a 3rd party provider, after you disembark (no paid testing onboard). However, it's pretty expensive.

The best option for you would probably be to get a test at the airport.

There are 2 timeframes based on the test type, so be careful as PCR is far more expensive. Official rules will be published on Feb 28th. Many people, including myself have ordered the Switch Health Antigen test to do on ship via video conference.

Antigen test - 1 day prior

PCR test - 72 hours prior
