jbrinkm
I'm on Allure and we're thinking about trying a specialty restaurant for the first time on a cruise ship. Which one would you recommend for fish and/or vegetarian food? If we're not eating the fancy meat, would it be better cost wise to just order off the menu, or pay ahead of time through the cruise planner? JennaRCB
The Italian specialty restaurants on any ship are a good bet! Lots of pasta options. Chops has some nice fish options as well. We have an indepth guide for vegetarians here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/02/02/vegetarian-and-vegan-guide-royal-caribbean jbrinkm
AshleyDillo
Giovannis on Allure will have a lot of fish options. If you are into sushi, Izumi sushi is always a good bet as well.
TitaniumLocks
Hi. We've just scheduled a cruise on Allure after multiple great trips aboard the Oasis. One thing that offered a lot of reassurance for cruisers with higher Covid-19 risks was the large number of open-air dining options on Oasis. And we really took advantage of those to help lower the anxiety of the one cruiser in our group that has more reasons to be cautious. So I was surprised (and kinda bummed) to learn Allure doesn't have the wonderful Solarium Bistro operational with the really healthy Mediterranean options we enjoyed almost every night on the Oasis. (Our waiter in the Solarium Bistro even brought us lobster tail from the MDR on the second formal night, so we have been spoiled by the excellent setup.) I'm sure the specialty grill dinner on the Allure is delicious, but we all have some medical reasons to want something lighter. We'd especially liked the smaller crowds and open-air feeling of the Solarium dining. Can anyone who's sailed Allure in 2021 or 2022 offer any thoughts on where we may find lighter and open-air dining? Thanks in advance. Livtocruise
I plan on doing wonderland for the experience. There have been reviews from vegetarians that are positive. Unless it’s Chops…I think you can find something in all of the specialty restaurants. Johnny rockets has a boca burger too which is super neat
