Sailingfool
Do all Royal Caribbean ships dock at Pan Am pier? And if so what is the best way to get to the old San Juan and the forts? I know that there is free trolley by port of San Juan but I don't think there is one by Pan Am pier. Thank you.
bcarney
No trolley at the Pam Am pier. Taxis are your only way to OSJ, and it's much too far to walk. With the exception of a cruise way back in the first part of the last decade, all my cruises from San Juan started at the Pam Am pier. The "old" port has been used for ships coming in where San Juan is a port stop. I think Carnval still uses it as a starting point though. Sailingfool
Thanks bcarney. Actually SJ will be a port stop for us, but I think we will most likely dock at Pan Am...
PRC
Usually RCCL used the Pan Am pier for ships based in San Juan (embark/disembark). If you are there for a port-of-call, you usually dock right in OSJ.
Sailingfool
I hope so PRC. It would make things easier to get around and take the free trolley.
Matt
Usually RCCL used the Pan Am pier for ships based in San Juan (embark/disembark). If you are there for a port-of-call, you usually dock right in OSJ. That has always been my experience. I would be shocked if you docked at Pan Am for a visit. Sailingfool
Thanks Matt. Great to know. It will make the trip to the forts much easier!
