Done it on Anthem and Symphony and it was packaged same as if you ordered take-out sushi at home. Plastic boxes with clear lids and even all placed into a bag. Done it both ways..but I was also Star Class on those sailings. Not sure if that had anything to do with allowing it over the phone.
