  2. Hello All, I am looking/contemplating doing the Blue Lagoon Island Deluxe Beach Break excursion in Nassau. I have been to Nassau numerous times including staying at Atlantis (fully paid for work trip). My boyfriend has never been to Nassau. Since we only have 3 days I was considering not doing any excursions and just getting off to explore Nassau and see the queens stairs and then get back on the ship to explore the rest of the day. Right now I've been offered 20% off the Blue Lagoon excursion which peaks my interest. Has anyone done it? If so worth the money or should we stay on the ship?
  3. Has anyone done the RCCL Cozumel excursion "Experience Mayans Through Your Senses"? I'm trying to figure out if there is any sort of lunch opportunity provided. The cruise is scheduled to run from 11:00-3:30 but there is only mention of a Tequila tasting. Thanks!
  4. Hi all! My husband and I are going to Nassau on a RC cruise in March and we were wondering if it is better to go to Balmoral Island or Blue Lagoon? Pros and cons of both? Thanks!!
  5. Taking a cruise on liberty of the seas in July 29 2018 and I was looking at doing a couple of dives. One in Rotan, Honduras with Anthonys Key and the one in Cozumel does not say the provider but its in the Arrecifes de Cozumel National Marine Park. Just wondering if anyone else has done a dive at these locations or with the providers and found it worthwhile? and any tips on what to expect are appreciated as well.
  6. Anyone know how to give feedback on the shore excursions? When I booked mine, I read other cruisers reviews. But, I can't see how to provide it on the website. I took the post-cruise survey RCL emails, but it only asked generic questions about shore excursions in general and never gave a place for written comments.
  7. We have reserved a chartered boat through Sonic Charters for St. Thomas on Dec 7th. We are Traveling on the Allure of the Sea Dec. 4th 2016 Sailing. We currently have 2 couples that are heading out for a private tour of the U.S Virgin Islands through Sonic Charters, listed as one of the Top 5 things to do on Trip Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147404-d3676786-Reviews-Sonic_Charters-St_Thomas_U_S_Virgin_Islands.html). The price includes up to 8 people so we are looking for 1-2 other couple who would be interested in joining us for this amazing trip. We went on a similar trip on the February sailing on the Oasis of the Seas and it was one of the best trips of our lives. We love to have fun, this trip will include snorkeling with Turtles, a Trip to Honeymoon Beach, and anything else our experienced captain will suggest. We love children ( we have 7 between the 2 couples currently going) but are leaving ours at home, so we looking for no children on this excursion. This is the email I received from the Charter Company. We would split the charges evenly between the couples. If your ship is here from 10-7 you could have from about 10:30-5:30 out on the water. It usually takes about a half hour for cruise ship guests to get off the ship and to the pickup location at the nearby marina (5 minutes walking distance) and we usually get people back about 1.5 hours before the ship leaves to err on the side of caution. We only offer full day charters that time of year and the rate is $675 plus fuel. Fuel charges differ depending on where you go. Given the time you have I would probably recommend staying in the USVI rather than going to the BVI like you mentiond. You could spend time around St John, Water Island, St. Thomas and the little uninhabited islands which is a great option and one that avoids British Virgin Islands customs to allow more time on the water. We have some great snorkeling spots here in the USVI and our captain knows some great secluded beaches as well as some great stops for lunch and drinks. If you did this, my guess is that fuel would be between $100-150. Our captain's make sure each trip is customized for our guests whether it be snorkeling, beach bar hopping, visiting the most popular spots, checking out some of the more hidden local spots or a combination of all. We would also need to include a tip for the Captain in our split costs. As I mentioned the last time we did this trip it was amazing! If you are interested just let me know and we can meet up when we get on board. You can give cash to the captain directly there is no need to pay anything upfront. Looking for forward to another great trip in a few days!
  8. We will be on Brilliance of the Seas and in port on Sept. 29, 2016. We are using P K travel in Athens for a full day semi private tour. The tour lasts 8-9 hrs. and costs $ 65.00 (euros). They pick you up at the dock and head directly to the Acropolis. They have never missed a cruise ship leaving port. Each vehicle holds 8-10 guests. They are top rated and very personable. Come join us just contact P K travel Greece and sign up. I originally had 96 Euros .
  9. Hi to everyone. This is our first post! We are doing a 2 b to b on Allure of the Seas in February of 2017. We have been along time observer of this blog. We are Diamond member with RCCI. Our questions is, has anyone done the Abi Beach Shore Excursion in St. Thomas? We are trying to decide if it is worth the time and money. Thank you in advance for any help on this topic:)
  10. Hello to all in the forum My question is regarding the dunns river falls excursion. I will be in Falmouth in january 2016 and still haven't decide what to do there. For those of you who actually went to dunns river falls. Have you ever considered the option of going on your own ? I mean with a cab taxi or private driver ? I'm interested at doing only the falls, no restaurants, no shopping, no bull...... So I looked at the excursion on my cruise planner page and only found one that's Dunns river falls transfer (AKA Dunns express) but the reviews are not that good, so I'm wondering, what if I can do all that by myself ? Plan everything and just take a taxi ! Would I save any money ? Would I be back in time to the ship ? Is the driver gonna wait for me at the falls ? Any of you did that excursion on your own ? Is that to risky ? Thanks, Michel P.s..excuse the typo, my first language is french.
