  1. I want to know your best RCCL moment. Any cruise, any place, anytime. I want to know what made you say," I'm never going to take a cruise with anyone else, ever again!"
  2. As far as reservations for specialty restaurants go, I was told by a RCCL rep via e-mail that it would be 7 months, which would have been last week for us, but still cannot access. On the forums here, have heard anywhere from 60 to 90 days out. So, I'm really not sure. I'm just going to check every day till it happens. It will be a nice surprise when it does!
  3. Same for us. Booked last month and they asked if we wanted MTD or the traditional, early or late seating.
  4. Thanks to both of you. I guess with the different options stated, Decks 1, 2, 4 or 5 we won't have far to go.
  5. Thanks, Matt! Since we don't sail until Oct, maybe we will see some of the changes on our upcoming cruise. I'll be sure to give an opinion when and if they do.
  6. What about the Promenade Deck on Radiance class ships?
  7. Thanks! I don't know if that's good or bad as our room is on deck 4, just off the Centrum, starboard side.
  8. Which decks do these usually happen from? We will be on the Serenade of the Seas. Thanks
  9. Thanks! Just curious. I have looked at the menus here and for the most part they seem pretty good. I guess if they happen to change before our cruise I can just be surprised.
  10. How often does RCCL change it's menus?
  11. Congrats also to you and yours! Hopefully, I'd like to think we also will be celebrating our 45th with a cruise as well! Happy cruising.
  12. Not much of a cheese shop really, is it?
  13. I've heard the best deals are to wait and book onboard, especially during port days, true?
  14. I'm excited to here that! Had seen some mixed reviews about her being old and in need of a little TLC. Thanks
  15. Maybe someone will put a penguin on the telly!
  16. Ok, thanks! Never having cruised before I wasn't sure how lighted the various decks would be.
  17. And don't say out on deck! ;) I mean generally the darkest place on deck? Fore, Aft, Helipad maybe?
  18. I did see those Matt, I was just wondering as I haven't looked at all the menus yet, just those that pertain to our ship, Serenade of the Seas. I'll have to keep researching. Only have 6 months left to do it though! Also, with that being said, is it wise to look for the most recent posting for that menu, or is that date generally just when you received that info? Thanks
  19. I too have learned a lot from everybody online. Hopefully when we return from our first cruise, I will have some "wisdom" to share with other first timers. Thanks for all the help! I know I will have more questions as we go along since we don't leave for another 6 months and 23 days. But who's counting.
  20. Are all menus the same for restaurants across the company? For instance are the menus for room service, Chops and Giovanni's the same from ship to ship? What about the MDR?
  21. Well, if everything I've read so far from everyone, is point on. I'm sure this will only be the beginning for us on RCCL!
  22. Ok, I'll try. I have to start to see the big picture and not always be concerned with the small things. What's the old saying, "Don't sweat the small stuff." I have to focus on just being sometimes. And sometimes that's enough. Thanks.
  23. Sounds like priority embarkation lines are a benefit on its own, especially since joining doesn't cost anything. I guess part of signing up is just wanting to be "part of the club."
  24. I need help. I know I'm an over planner, but I can't seem to help it. I once told my wife and kids on a Disney trip that there was "no time for pictures." It has become a source of humor since then. Does anybody else have this problem? Any suggestions? I want everything to be perfect, since this is a surprise anniversary cruise for my wife.
