  1. I like "good-bad" better than "bad-good!" if you know what I mean. I'm sure the surroundings make it all the better!
  2. How good? I live outside Chicago, so I'm pretty picky, as I believe we have some of the best in the country! Those on the East Coast especially NY, might say otherwise though! ;)
  3. I like short lines more than I like chicken! Although I've read it's pretty great!
  4. Also who doesn't love some "pre-breakfast appetizers!"
  5. Reading everything on line here, I thought that might be a good place to grab lunch on embarkation day, and avoid the Windjammer.
  6. I'm just curious, how often have you used room service and what's your honest opinion about it? Or is it just the principle of the matter?
  7. That's good to hear as we will be making our first ever cruise this Oct on Serenade of the Seas!
  8. I've heard they are a good place to relax during off hours, yes?
  9. I think the fact that they are now charging for something that was "free" has people upset. Even those that never used it or ever planned to use it. Just the idea of "losing" something that they had for free, is upsetting. I think this brings up the general question, should they make everything included and charge more for the cruise, or charge less in general and make more things a la cart?
  10. If you can't see the ocean, isn't it just like staying in a hotel? Or like going to the beach and never lying on the sand?
  11. How does this compare to other cruise lines? Is RCCL just playing catch up? It's hard to be a leader when you seem to be following.
  12. Maybe include "snacks" and such and charge for meals? Continental breakfast is for me, a snack not a meal. Maybe that explains my waistline! :P
  13. With all that RCCL ships have to offer, what's missing? What's the one thing that you say, "I wish that RCCL would add "this" to their ships!"
  14. From what I've read, at least about hot breakfast, people aren't really missing much. I think at least keeping the complimentary continental breakfast is a good move. In the end, if somebody really wants room service they will pay for it. I think a lot of people just order it for the novelty of it and maybe that staff will be better used elsewhere?
  15. I believe, from what I've read, you get one choice of entrée, but as many apps, salads and desserts as you want. If I'm wrong, I know I will be corrected! :)
  16. Does anyone know if the new ships are built using pre-fabricated cabins that are just attached together, like they do with a lot of new hotels these days?
  17. That seems strange, as does the variance of between 7 mos and 60 to 90 days for dining reservations. They must have a reason for this, that none of us seem to know. Even those with double digit cruises under their belts.
  18. That would be a way to increase revenue. I know I'd pay to watch that!
  19. I know when I booked mine last month, I saved 60% off the second passenger. So it's the same as the current "sale" of 30% each passenger, no?
  20. I think reading about the C&AS perks, the "express boarding" so to speak, starts after your first cruise if I read correctly.
  21. What's the best show or entertainment you have seen on a RCCL cruise? Do they have a lot of repeat acts? Do they move from ship to ship?
  22. Could be worse. They could have bowling on board!
  23. I think it may be like buying a first year model of a car. You have a lot to brag about, if it all goes right.
  24. I'm assuming you received those perks mainly because of your suite, and not just your C&AS status.
