  1. Hi, I have had 3 grown adults in a room before and it is fine. I assume FO is a family ocean view which will really make it fine because there is a lot of extra space. I believe when Matt was on the Navigator he got an FO room and thought there was a ton of space. So In conclusion I think you should be fine!

  2. Hi Jill, I am Stephanie the person Matt was talking about. So Yes I am a Casino Royale Club VIP member. The way you get this is by spending a lot of money in the Casino. I got in about 5 years ago when I had some money to burn and I qualified to get in the club. The great thing is I never spend as nearly as much as I did that one time but they don't kick you out of the club once your in your in. So you get Casino rates when booking also you can earn money of next cruises but I never saw them just give away a free cruise like on carnival. So here is the other thing in April they are about the change the whole way the run the VIP program so in april once I know more I will post more info...

  3. Ok so I am on Quantum now and have been bugging the Casino Staff like crazy to give me an answer but they say the same stuff... They know as much as you got in the letter... I Will say this I just booked a 10 night on Anthem for January 2015 and got Casino rates and got to use a rebate so like you said that is still intact until March 2016.. I plan to call in April and have them give me a full explanation about this tiered benefit stuff.. I saw that NCL runs their casino this way.. Maybe they are trying to copy them with this? Who knows.. But If I get any more info I will post...

    PS. Quantum is sooooooooooo Fantastic!

  4. OH Absolutely you can write it off lol still I would love for you to make another royal Caribbean blog cruise because this time I would make sure to go.. Maybe if Harmony is released state side that would be a good choice.. Especially since it will have a Sabor!

  5. Thank y'all for the terrific replies. There really is so much to consider. Between departure ports, itineraries, ship choice,, and now I'm seeing that a cruise I was interested in departs on a FRIDAY. I never realized all 7 day cruises aren't Sunday to Sunday. A Friday departure means flying on Thursday. So now you're taking those 2 days off and the entire week of your cruise, whereas Sunday to Sunday means just taking the 5 day workweek off. Oh well.

I just wanted to tell you that some 7 day cruises are Saturday-Saturday like Oasis of the seas for instance. It has never been only Sunday-Sunday... I happen to be taking an 8-night cruise that leaves on a Friday and so I don't have to miss work thursday I am taking a 6:00 AM flight on Friday so there is the option to do that as well...

  6. We are sailing on Navigator on Oct 5th and have My Time Dining. Is it possible to request a table for 2 as part of your reservation or do you just have to ask when you arrive and hope they can accommodate.

It is possible to request it as part of your reservation. Everytime I go with just my boyfriend we always want a table for two and when I make my reservation online I request it and always get it.

  7. Ok, question for all. Once you've cruised on one of the big boys, is there any way one can ever be satisfied on one of the little boys ?? Example: A month ago we cruised on Navigator. 138,000 tons/3,100 guests. I'd love to go back to Bermuda, but RCCL only cruises Grandeur to Bermuda. 73,000 tons/under 2,000 guests. Is bigger better ? Is smaller simply less crowded, but just as beautiful ? Thoughts ?

For me personally I can not go back to a smaller ship. I went on Vision in July and I hated it. For me it was very boring. I love Royal Caribbean and I hate admitting I didn't like it but I didn't. The shows were boring outdated shows, I felt the food was subpar to what I usually get, there is no dedicated pizza restaurant the only way to get it was from room service which tasted absolutly horrible, I felt the food in the dining room was not as good as on other ships even though its the same menu, my waitstaff was over worked and constantly brought out cold food or when it was time for dessert and I would order Icecream they would bring it to me already melted, the only good entertainent was the new arial acts in the centrum problem with that is there is not enough room for 2000 people to see it all at once and I found since it was the only good form of entertainment all 2000 people wanted to see it and it was way to crowded. I could go on but I will stop. For me I still love Royal but I will only go on Voyager class and above but I'm sure other people will have a different opinion.

  8. Thank you very much for the replies....I have been placed on a waiting list but I'm also keeping an eye on prices and other cabin availabilities.

How do I found out when the final payment date is though, so that I can watch out for these cancellations?? It's a New Year's cruise so that may minimise the number of cancellations too....?

    Thanks again!

I am also going on a New Years Cruise and my final payment date is 9/29 which is in two weeks. Yours is probably around there as well.

  9. Hello,

Has anyone reserved a beach cabana at Labadee?  I looked at the price and it just seems extremely pricey as it is priced per person and not per day.  I'm seeing $225.75 USD Adult, $225.75 USD Child.  Does anyone know if there are less expensive cabana's for rent upon arrival?

And....if you have reserved one of these cabanas before,....what if, you only reserved it for one person but you are with a group and they all join in at your cabana?? Is there some sort of "check" system RCC uses to check use of the cabanas?

If cabanas are not an option, I'm assuming there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas???

    Thank you!

Hi, I know it says the Cabana is per person and per child but its not. Its just a Flat rate of $225.00 for i believe up to 6 people per cabana. Last September I rented a Cabana and I had 3 other people with me and I was only charged for 1 person. Hope that helps.

  10. Hi Michelle, I would like to know if after Allure goes into dry dock next year will it also get Dynamic Dining? I know they mght not answer but i figured I would ask. Also would there be a way you could post all the new changes Oasis is going to get? Thanks in Advance. - Stephanie

  11. Was thinking of taking a cruise on the Grandeur that goes to Florida, Cococay, Nassau, and the Florida Keys and was wondering what the weather would be like when we get as far south as Florida. It leaves from Baltimore so I know it will be chilly for a while.

    Ed

I live in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and I have for all 27 years of my life. In October and November it is still a hot 80-85 degrees here in florida.. Now when you get to december it starts to get cooler

  12. Hi, I personally think you should pick another ship esipically since this is your first cruise. That ship is really not a good representation of what Royal Caribbean is or has become. I went on a vision class ship in July and was disappointed. Why don't you consider going on Quantum? You can still drive to that because it leaves out of NJ and it is the newest and best ship royal has to offer. It will really give you a great representation of all things great about Royal. Now of course this is just my opinion and I am sure some people on here will disagree but I think newer is better

  13. Sorry if this has already been covered but can someone kindly advise if we are able to check-in earlier than the allocated 3:15 slot; which has some what annoyed me, by the way they have allocated the times, with a clear "commoners on last approach" . 3:15 check which allows 1 hour 15 minutes to board, get to the room (if it's ready), then go to the Windjammer for a bite to eat and then on deck for the setting sail.

You can definatley go before the time slot they tell you. I always get there around 12 because I like to have lunch. They just try to give time slots hoping some people will listen so it will not be to crowded at certain times but you can go at anytime. They usually start boarding from 11:00 AM on. Hope that helps.

  14. Oh, good! Someone else feels the same (I though it was me) ... The ship it self is well taking care of, clean and beautiful. The decoration was also fantastic but with 4 days at sea we were really bored.

I won't even talk about the food since it was such a disappoint as well. More reason to think that ships with more places to eat would have better food.

Yes I can tell you first hand that Oasis class ships have much better quality of food and food choices. Some people mind having to pay for specialty restaurants and I understand why but for me I don't mind paying alittle bit extra for what I consider to be better quality food, service, and ambiance. For instance I really enjoy eating at chops grille on oasis because its located in central park and they actually have outdoor seating where you can over look the park which I find beautiful and relaxing. Same with Giovanni's table. I am scheduled to go on Quantum this coming March and I have to tell you all the food choices really look good and like they are tring to step up their game. So give Oasis or Allure a try and see what you think. I just think they also have much better callibur of shows and entertainment so all around a better cruise experience.
