We have not  done a  guarantee room.  We have been tempted.  I now know that we certainly will never attempt that.  What are you supposed to do with your luggage when you get to the pier.  I would be on the phone asking for a supervisor and not dealing with one of the so called  agents that answers the phone.  I stopped dealing with them 4 years ago and we are so glad.

The porters are supposed to have a manifest, with the cabin numbers on the morning of the sail date so you will know your cabin number before check in.

I also have a XB-GTY reserved for June 30 and I don't know why but I have the feeling that something similar is going to happen to me.

Falmouth is a port where I always try to do an excursion.  There are no beaches close by without transportation of some sort.

If you are the type of person who prefers booking through Royal you can preview their Falmouth excursion offers here:

Blue Water Beach is close by and offered as transportation only or all-inclusive:

They have other beach excursions but pay attention to drive time depending on where the resort or beach is.

Blue Water Beach sounds nice. Would you recommend that tour?

I'm doing "resortforaday", picked one of the resorts that accepts kids because I will have my Grandson with me on this cruise (Hyatt Ziva), otherwise I would have selected an adults only.

If you research Dunn's Rivers fall or the Blue Hole, it seemed like the drive was 2 hours and the cost was not favorable. I would have loved to do Dunn's River again to relive a moment from our past but didn't want the long bus ride (Or Taxi).

Did you make the reservation through RC or directly to the Hotel?

  4. Hi! It's my first time in Falmouth so I don't have any ideas of what to do.

I saw on a map that Falmouth is between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay but I'm not sure how close are those ports to Falmouth. I am looking for something quiet and relaxing, preferably on a beautiful beach. What do you recommend?

  5. Hello! I have a reservation for HOTS sailing in 44 days. Initially I had an Ocean View guaranteed cabin. I was assigned a cabin two days ago but I decided to change category and asked for a Guaranteed Balcony.

I paid the difference and reviewed my reservation. It no longer showed the assigned cabin, it only said "GTY". But today again the previous cabin (OV) reappeared as my assigned cabin.

I spoke to RC customer service and they assured me that I had not been assigned a cabin with balcony yet, that I should not worry about the message shown on my reservation.

Should I believe them, should I be worried?

    Greetings!

It was an option at the time I booked.  We also went to the MDR on embarkation to verify the request.

I couldn't find that option, I guess I'll have to go to the MDR on embarkation day to assure that.

I already made the reservation process through the Cruise Planner to select a specific dinner time for every day according to the schedule of the Shows that I have also reserved. We are only two people, how punctual are they with the reserves in MTD? I do not want to have to hurry considering that I considered an approximate two hours for dinner.

    Thanks!

This was our experience on the Enchantment (albeit it was only for 2).  I made reservations 3 of the 4 nights, requested a table for two.  On embarkation, we went to the MDR to confirm times, table for two and said we'd prefer the same wait staff and a table by the window.  At the end of dinner on the first night, we let the waiter know we would be at Chops for Day 2, but back for days 3 & 4.   Showed up for Day 3 and the waiter and made notes or our previous drink order and just verified it, on Day 4 he just went and got them.  And we had the same table every night.   There was some variation on the people around us but we saw the same people at the adjacent tables on Days 3 and 4

Hi! How did you manage to request a table for two? I made my MTD reservations on Cruise Planner but I didn't see any option to request a table.

It was, boardwalk was 150 euros more than central park

The higher price does not necessarily mean that it is an upgrade. I have the understanding that both categories are similar if not the same, the cabins with balcony and Broadway view start on deck 7 and Central Park on 9. I guess it's a matter of taste, I would have preferred the tranquility of Central Park.

No matter if traffic is backed up for 10 hours, the ship will wait for you IF you brought the excursion from Royal. You can buy your own tickets to the theme parks, BUT you MUST buy the round-trip transportation from Royal which guarantees that they will wait for you.

Not necessary, if the ship has to go and you bought a shore excursion with Royal, they will wait for a while but not forever, eventually the ship could leave and Royal would have to make arrangements to take you to the next port of call.

We are now 21 days out from our 2 week B2B on the Allure OTS. I just logged in to check my cruises to see if there were any"sales" to be had only to find that all my Cruise Planner is showing are Royal Gifts and Photo Packages. No drink packages, dining, excursions, etc. Is this something new or does Royal now cut you off within a couple of weeks of cruising....or have I offended someone? :27_sunglasses:

Same problem here. Royal IT strikes again

I'd still be curious of Royal's reaction...I can't imagine they're terribly thrilled about a random UAV flying around their ship and the people on it. Just a guess.

I guess that as you state, they wouldn't be thrilled.

I suppose that as long as you don't fly right above the ship and directly over people you should be out of trouble.

Does this include the ferry that takes you from Coz to Playa del Carmen ?  If so....yikes !

Exactly that's the one involved.  So basically if Cozumel is a port of call you will not be able to go with a Royal Caribbean excursion to Main land. However you could take a ferry by yourself.

This event's are rare, very rare in Mexico. We are having drug related problems, drug cartels and other insecurity issues but never had explosives or bomb related events.

I don't think this would evolve in something worst. It feels like its some kind of political related events. The ferrys involved were property of former Governor so...

In Cozumel there hasn't been any kind of insecurity issues so far, so if you want to get off the ship you should be fine!
