  1. Can anyone recommend one beach over the other? I've heard Matt recommend both on his livestream many times over, but wasn't sure if there were any key differentiators between the two locations (distance from the port, business, clarity of the water, access to chairs, umbrellas, food, etc.).

Also, we will be in Aruba until 10:30pm all aboard time.  Has anyone ever been there that late?  Is there a good dinner spot, or anything else worth doing at night on the island?

    Thanks in advance 🙂

Does anyone know what each night's theme is going to be? We want to make sure we bring the appropriate attire for each night.

It’s on the app now! Night 2 French night (probably the first formal night), Night 3 is Mexican, 4 is Italy, 5 is Caribbean, 6 is USA, 7 is Royal Night (formal night 2), 8 is Farewell

Perhaps this particular ship is arriving back to port later than typical….OR…there will be an inspection taking place after passengers depart but before new passengers embark.  Arriving that early when embarkations begin at Noon is a bit overzealous, no?

Perhaps, but our hotel checkout is 10:30 anyways so we may as well head to the port and wait rather than trek somewhere else to kill time. Many times in the past we’ve been able to board much earlier than scheduled, so we’ll see what happens this time. Fingers crossed!

This is my entire groups first cruise. The wife and I went on Allure of the Seas last April, that was our first cruise. Very interested to see if we like the quantum class compared to the Oasis Class.

I’m confident you’ll love it!! Quantum and Oasis are both so impressive, unique, and fun in their own ways. So hard to compare!! There are features of each we miss while on the other, but we never feel anything is lacking. Two70 and Seaplex for example on Quantum class are amazing, as are the North Star and iFly activities. We miss those when on Oasis class, but instead we enjoy the boardwalk, Central Park, aqua theatre, studio B/ice shows etc. Royal is so smart in designing ships so that we have good reason to go back and forth forever booking different ships to enjoy all the different features 😊

  5. Hello all!

My husband who is an engineer likes to dabble in side projects, and recently was working on an idea for a simple site to track cruise prices in real-time.  As avid cruisers, this is something we've often discussed as a 'wouldn't it be nice if' type of feature.  Aside from asking a travel agent to keep an eye on the price, the only way currently to track if pricing trends up or down on a particular sailing is to manually log in to the RCI site and do a mock booking.

The site he has put together grabs all of the data in real-time from the direct RCI site so users can easily track the prices and use that information to make or modify bookings.

It's currently still in the very beginning stages of operation and the full dashboard isn't quite ready yet, but we wanted to share the link to sign up in order to gauge how much interest there might be in something like this!

If you do check it out and have questions or feedback, feel free to drop them here and we will use that feedback to help build out the site in a way that will better serve cruisers' needs!

  6. I also set my alarm to wake me up right at midnight and still only got a 12:30pm boarding time. I called RCI the next morning and checked in about it, and was told there were no boarding times made available prior to 12pm. Very strange though because I have NEVER boarded that late. We’re planning to show up around 10:30/11 and just hope for the best, or at least already be there to wait.

  7. Hey everyone!! I'm looking for some of your amazing advice.  We're going on the Wonder in less than 2 weeks and I am still at a loss for what to do in Roatan.  I have contemplated a RCI shore excursion, booking something through a third party, just winging it on our own and wandering around (which I've heard is ill-advised at this destination), or just staying on the ship and enjoying a low-key day.

Ideally, we would like to see some of the highlights of Roatan, like a scenic driving tour that hits some nice spots for taking photos, but not an all-day event and not a beach day.  Has anyone ever found or booked a private driving tour of some type with these types of stops?  If so, what do you recommend or how did you do it?

Or, should we just skip it altogether?? I keep seeing mixed reviews of Roatan in general and that's what's led me to be so indecisive on planning out the day.

Thank you for any help you can offer!
